Stuff like his almost makes me want to buy a 3DS before it's 2nd iteration! Gotta hold out for the 3DS lite!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the music sounds like midi-fied dubstep at some points?

That music fucking RIPS. I'll definitely download this when there's an improved iteration of the 3DS to play it on.

It's funny how I was really loving the soundtrack playing during this quick look. So I decided to do some research, and noticed it's composed by Jake Kaufman, who is also one of my favorite chiptune producers. Funny that. Game looks interesting as well, though I still don't feel like buying a 3DS.

I just finished this; it's such a good game. I got a 3DS a few days ago and have yet to get a 3DS game. Mighty Switch Force, Pushmo/Pullblox and Pokemon are keeping me busy.

I hardly ever use 3D, it's not good enough to warrant the battery drain most of the time imo. So sans 3D I'm still really enjoying the 3DS. Good games, it turns out, are what consoles need.

Edit: For anyone interested the soundtrack is available on Bandcamp, I'd recommend it! :)

...who would have thought, that a 6 dollar game would be the driving force towards me finally buying a 3DS.

Seriously, this is the only thing (Luigi's Mansion 2 notwithstanding) that has made me consider buying. And the soundtrack is bananas!

@Zaxex: miyamoto himself said wether you have it in 2d or 3d it takes the same amount of battery life. the brightness and "power saver mode" are what change the battery life on my 3ds.

@jasondesante: That might be even worse. I thought the 3DS was rendering the game twice, one for each eye, on the top-screen, and you can just turn that off with the 3D slider. If the slider doesn't affect battery life then the 3DS must always be using that amount of power.

I'm much more comfortable turning off the 3D than turning down the brightness. That seems more detrimental to me, I tried it for some DS games.

The battery is only really a problem when it runs out though I guess. I played through Mighty Switch Force to completion just fine and without purposefully turning down any settings; though for a while I didn't know it even supported 3D and barely used it when I realized that it did.

It's funny to me how schizophrenic a developer WayForward is. Half they time they put out garbage tie-in shovelware games and the rest of the time they put out wonderful stuff like this. For every Shantae or Aliens: Infestation, there's a half dozen games based on awful Nickelodeon properties. This is the same company that made PingPals, which was basically the myNotebook: Carbon of 2004.
