Quick Look: Mighty Switch Force

Most appealing game currently out on the 3ds; supposedly its pretty short though so not enough to get me to buy one.

I was waiting for her to say, "Nippon Ichi!" but it never happened :(. Looks fun, want to play it.

within seconds of the level loading i've got my overbite over my bottom lip and i'm translating my head left to right to left

what i'm saying is ... is that the music is ... jawesome

Funky music and solid platforming with great art and a pretty decent gimmick?

...huh, between this, Pushmo, and Super Mario 3dland, maybe I can't just write off the 3ds.

That rimlit-version of the futuristic cityscape in the third stage they try is a really striking background.

Only 16 stages, which is unfortunate, because THIS GAME IS AWESOME AND I WANT MORE OF IT!

Incident .16 in particular doesn't pull any punches, and I love it.

This game is pretty great, but short; I purchased it when it was released last year. Still haven't beaten all the time trials yet, some of them are pretty brutal.
 
But the visuals are very striking, especially the 3D, I don't think the video does it justice. Great music, as many have pointed out, and the second half of the game gets pretty damn tricky. Definitely recommended.

Now that I finally have access to a Nintendo electronic shop, I can finally catch up on everything I missed. Like Shantae.

I was bit back and forth on this at first, but picked it up a week or two ago and it is indeed awesome. Music is quite sweet as well.

This game looks and play great. I'm so happy the 3DS is finally getting some great stuff.

I'm kinda baffled about Jeff seemingly not remembering the last three DSiWare Wayforward games, two of which were also part of the "Mighty" series.

This looks great. I'm buying this asap.

Mighty Bomb Jack is gonna be pissed.

Just looking at the first few minutes of this it's clear that the game would be much improved by not freezing the screen whenever you block switch. That freeze kills the momentum.

This looks fucking awesome. I want a 3DS because of this, Pushmo, and Super Mario 3D Land.

Love Mighty Switch Force! This and Cave Story HD has been eating up a ton of my handheld Gaming. Please do a Qucik Look for Mutant Mudds as well! It's due out in Feb. for E-shop.

Wow so the 3DS has actual worthwhile downloadable software, didn't expect that to happen.

I have a question to 3DS owners. I haven't bought a handheld system since the GBA, but I've always been interested. with Pushmo, this, Mario, Zelda, etc, I am thinking of buying a 3DS now that it's hella cheap.

My real concern is backwards comparability with DS games. I don't remember what the guys said about it, but I think I heard that the screen ratio is shit or something. Can anyone give me more insight? With so many god damn DS games out and cheap, this could be a great starting point.

The soundtrack for this game is freaking amazing.

I really do like the music in this! It kind of reminds me of Gunbound.

I look forward to checking this out once I get a 3DS. :)

the screens on the 3DS (at least the bottom one) are actually a little smaller(or about the same size, hard to tell) than the DS screens, but the resolution is a lot higher, so when you play DS games, they fit the screens, but are usually all pixelated because they were made at a much smaller resolution. If you hold start and select when you launch it though, it will play at its normal resolution, but then it is really small on the screens. So its either deal with some pixelation or play a really small game.

Holy damn, I know it's been said, but the music in this game, unf. So good.
