@patrickklepek: Do you think you might review this? I was curious to see what you would think after playing the whole thing after I saw it getting poor reviews from other outlets.

Huh, didn't Scoops cover the demo of this awhile back? I remember it looking a looot better in more ways than one.

This game looks...bad. Like really bad. This is like a really shitty Silent Hill knockoff. Not creepy, not scary, just silly and bad.

The Ghostbusters videogame has scarier levels and ghosts than this game.

Patrick was dangerously close to monetizing those teens.

edit: Uh... since I pay a subscription fee to watch this content, I guess he successfully monetized those teens? I feel like I should be wiping my hard drive right now.

Wow, that boar monster sure is scary. I mean apart from it's ridiculous design, it's purpose is to run around and steal people's money? Great enemy for a horror game.

@smiteofhand: Somebody else in the comments pointed out, but yeah that was funny. Couldn't tell if I was just seeing things so I had to rewind. Also as the camera pans out you can see him lying in the back. Poor guy is probably unconscious. Either it's just some little joke bit they threw in, or perhaps a subtle set-up for something else later on.

The game looks okay. I'm not really interested in horror but it it seems to have some neat ideas. Like Patrick though, I didn't think anything of the wound on her back. I just figured it was part of the ghost design (like she was stabbed there or something). I would've done exactly the same thing as Patrick and kept taking photos/running away. It's not THAT obvious.

Also the effect around the screen wasn't apparent to me until the end of the QL. I assume that means the ghost was in the same room as him? But yeah, took me a while to pick up on it the whole time he was around the ghost.

Hey Patrick, I purchased this thing on Indiegogo after enjoying the Mac demo but the final product is Windows only to my understanding, so I can't play it. I know you guys have discussed the sense of entitlement backers feel after supporting a crowd funding project, do I have a case or am I being too complacent?

The Steam page for the game says their Mac and Linux versions are in beta. Hopefully that isn't a permanent state. I'm still waiting for the PC version of Republique I backed... :/

This seems janky and overpriced for what it is. I assume that they needed more funding to finish the second part, but why wouldn't they release this as early access until it's complete, and avoid the scorn and criticism of releasing it in this condition as a full product?

It's clearly got soul, but the camera mechanic has SO little "oomph" to it compared the game its attempting to pay homage to, that I had to rewind to make sure that what Patrick was doing was actually accomplishing anything.

Also, those janky animations. Gosh.

This whole game seems like it needs just a little more work, across the board, to be something truly great.

Glad they took the time to model boob physics.
