If you want to see pro level game play, go to Twitch or something and stop whining. I came here to watch some stupid video game being played and hear what these guys have to say about it. I could care less how many times Brad dies. Have you ever even been to GB? You know how quick looks go.

God damn, four pages of comments, and not a single post saying who the guy with the guitar is.

It's apparently Jimi Hendrix.

He doesn't get directly referenced as being Hendrix, but yeah...nickname "J", shredding guitar, taking drugs and "fighting the man" as he himself says it...

Wow, this really looks a whole lot better on PC. Also, played it on Death Incarnate difficulty and finished it in 9 and a half hours, so 15 hours is optimistic. And I am no MLG playah, died a whole lot. Worth every goddamn penny none the less. So great to see something from my childhood brought back today with this quality.

Left-trigger-right-trigger Brad!

Also, for the love of gawd, save the pickups until after you've killed the fourteen guys in the immediate area who are trying to put holes in you.

I played on Uber and it took me about 15 hours to do everything (find everything, unlock everything etc.) It's really a damn fine game, though some stuff feel a bit unfair un the higher difficulty settings, the final boss in particular. Took me about 15 tries and when I finally made it I didn't really do anything different than before. But a game where you can hold two shotguns at once is automatically fine in my book.

I think turning the sensitivity UP was the mistake. It leads to too much drifting around trying to find the tiny spot where the enemy is located. And with those moving drones, that's going to be a nightmare.

Most Counter Strike players will play with the sensitivity so low they have to move their whole arm to turn around.

It's probably a good thing that now Vinny will be in the New York office if Alex reviews a game, he can also do the Quick Look for it, rather than having one person review the game and learn their way around it and then have someone else do the Quick Look who doesn't. It was always a bit weird when that situation came up, so hopefully now there'll be a solution.

The Vault 101 easter egg clearly got overshadowed by Vinny blurting out "ON THE MOON."

Also, should "Die Kaefer" not have been spelled "Die Keafer?"

That actually looks potentially interesting. Not neccessarily like 50 € worth of excitement but easily like a game worth playing. Then again, I'm not exactly unbiased as Wolfenstein 3D was among my first FPS games and I thought the 2009 version was pretty damn awesome.

Sadly, the beloved Fatherland really wants me to either steal this game or play the absolute piss version since importing is not an option. At least I got a chuckle out of Steam's new warning:

About the elevator, in-game voice and in-game text stated what to do in that situation. How many times have you seen something clearly presented in a QL ignored before and by whom at the helm?

There was no time before that at Giant Bomb. They for some reason tend to not read text. Ryan was really frustrating on that front too. Always bothered me. I assume it's the same people who hate cutscenes - "Just let me get on with the fucking shooting *click*,*click*,*click*".

I like how people laugh about the name Deathshead when it was a real WW2 Nazi unit.

Also, the character has shown up since Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I don't mean to split hairs here, but the game actually takes place in the late 50's proper. So, unfortunately, the closest thing you're going to get to the German Beatles is the German Tommy Roe. Ouch!

@sammo21: Yeah. And it was the name of a seminal Twilight Zone episode, "Deathshead Revisited", written by veteran Rod Serling.

I'd love to see a supercut of all the times in a Quick Look where Brad says, "I didn't have any trouble with this game up until this point."

A month late here, but after reading a lot of comments about the gamepad controls looking stiff I had to chime in. They actually feel great - and there's analogue, radial leaning control Brad never used that can't be replicated on a keyboard. It gives amazing fidelity to using cover, without needing a tonne of height stances like ARMA.

Just recently played this before starting the sequel and I feel Brad's pain. The combat was not my favorite part of the game, but the story/characters/setting make up for it.
