We didn’t go to many first-run movies as a kid since it was too expensive to take the whole family… but that summer I got to pick a movie to go see, and I chose Twister over Mission: Impossible. Yup…

this is pretty much the only thing i can pull from this between the 00 announcement episode awkwardness ( i Assume it was a bit but ... well i hope? it was a bit?) and this. no matter the case in either direction i'm 100% Not here for it and will be skipping any more of these , this was a waste of my time and at this point i feel like they're morso trying to push ppl away from the site vs keep them here.

I met Bryan Still as he gave an emotional breakdown of U2's Rattle and Hum on HD-DVD at a truck stop in Tuscaloosa. That man truly know what it is to live life on "The Edge"

I like this sort of commentary/ analysis but the narration is dripping with way too much sap. If this isn’t some sort of elaborate joke and we get more of this, I’d prefer to be talked to in an adult voice.

Yeah this did nothing for me. I get that it's a bit, some sort of parody of video essays, and that the confused audience response is part of the joke. And I love that Giantbomb is trying weird new things. But it fell completely flat for me. It's just a dude doing a voice while reading a bad video essay.

It's fine if others did enjoy it, I wish I did, I like enjoying things!

Ergh. The delivery is absolutely cringeworthy. Sounds like it's the point... couldn't finish it...

The dry humor isn't really hitting in this one, I love that type of stuff, but it just wasn't funny. They also picked a really bad movie to do this with... and what's with the insanely long "in memoriam" at the end, was it supposed to be funny?

Also, I don't know why you got the famous star wars pilot/executive producer to splice these movie clips together, seems like a waste of money.

lol imagine not getting the joke, AND THEN, taking time to have an argument on the internet from that standpoint! You don't see people leaving comments on this when you watch AEW, maybe because they know that is a work?

@bisonhero: You're adding in absolutes where I did not. I'm not "bringing out pitchforks" nor saying Giantbomb ONLY did gaming content. As other people have put it those were side things while now it feels like it's the main content.

I've been here since the launch and I've been a premium member since the offered the service, I know what kind of content they've been doing over the years and I've seen it slowly creep from videogame content as main to a flood of pop culture stuff. This site invented lets plays basically and I'm bummed there's not more quantity and unique videogame content on the site. Also now with Jeff basically saying traditional reviews are dead I'm questioning why I subscribe anymore since the new pop culture content which feels like the majority doesn't tickle my fancy.
