Quick Look: Solar Ash

Agree with liking the dynamics in this game; like Riot's animated shorts and their show Arcane, they do things like dynamics (liquids, glass, fire, explosions, smoke, etc) by hand rather than use traditional CGI and it gives you a cool, hand animated kind of feeling, especially when they stagger the frames per second to like 2-8 fps

I loved Hyper Light Drifter and was really anticipating this game. Kind of a bummer its not on Xbox since thats my primary console now but I guess you gotta sign deals to pay the bills. From other outlets I've heard that as the game goes on it's very much style over substance so I'll just wait until it goes on sale later on.

Bit of a slow build to the boss fight. Looks fairly interesting, though

On one hand, this looks great.

On the other hand, i really enjoyed Hyper Light Drifter's combat, and this seems like a more streamlined version where it's almost more of a timing-based runner. Probably still enjoyable, but i'm not sure if i enjoy it more than HLD.
