When Patrick said Perfect Dark was a bad game, he meant to say best shooter ever, right? RIGHT!?

He meant Perfect Dark Zero... I hope.

C'mon guys. I don't think even Vinny has any love for anything on the N64.

Also, breather strats.

Kaepernick does not have the jawline for that type of beard.

I always thought that type of beard existed specifically to compensate for a weak jawline.

Maybe? For me, though, it's one of those things where I wouldn't have noticed the weak jawline if he didn't have that beard.

Kind of "the more you try to cover something up, the more likely it appears to other people that you are trying to cover something up."

I suppose it's better than that awful goatee he had.

(Off-topic facial hair discussion, ftw!)

Hey, I don't have much love for N64 games, but Perfect Dark was and remains a great FPS, both for console FPSes of that era and when compared to PC FPSes.

Hey, I don't have much love for N64 games, but Perfect Dark was and remains a great FPS, both for console FPSes of that era and when compared to PC FPSes.

The multiplayer has its issues, namely that the N64 hardware really couldn't handle bots AND splitscreen, and Rare continued to be absolutely horrid at designing multiplayer maps other than Temple.

But man, Perfect Dark's singleplayer campaign was incredibly well made for the time.

@bisonhero: I never got on board for online shooters, so Perfect Dark is still my go to multilayer FPS. Local shooters also require friends who are equally enthusiastic about the game, something I have with PD, but not much else. At one point I thought Timesplitters might be the successor I was looking for, but that never panned out. Has there been a FPS that could compete with Perfect Dark in match customization?

I'll grant you the N64 version didn't run perfectly, but I mostly used it for one on one with no bots. The XBLA version runs much smoother. But I think Facility, Complex, and Grid are all great multiplayer maps. I never liked Temple, and I wish Stack made the cut.
