@lucyjamesgames I can relate to the talking a lot thing. I was at my job's office the other day and the amount of talking I did left me hoarse at the end and in deep deep need to go recharge by myself. And it wasn't really all that much talking!

Very cheeky of Tam to mess with the wheel while Lucy was driving. Real older sibling energy.

In terms of physical as opposed to online presence, that looked like a sad event. Loved the videos showing what it was actually like, though.

Real muffled "fast as fucc boiiii" is just great.

Everyone trying to help Tam with the headset had me exploding with laughter.

As someone who also learned to drive in the UK and then had to get my US license, I found the practical driving test much easier in the US than the UK equivalent, but I also took it in a pretty rural part of Florida, and I imagine it'll be much more of a nightmare taking the test in SF.

Ah, that racing sim set up has me wanting to build my own. But I don't play that much of them to justify it.

Who the hell is that F1 VR setup for? That thing probably costs more than any arcade cab anywhere, and if an arcade actually had that in their lineup, they would absolutely need a staff member to stand beside it full-time to lock people in/unlock them out, and to ensure that VR headset stays in the arcade. Yet another product coming out of the industry that is intended for 0.0001% of the audience.

It did look pretty cool, I'll admit.

@broshmosh: Pretty sure that they say in the video that the rig costs $10K, so it's clearly not aimed at the causal market, nor arcades. It's for the hardest of hardcore racing sim enthusiasts who have way too much money and space to burn in their homes.

@heyitsdale: And a friend to lock/unlock them! Though I guess they'd want to show it off at that point.

Fwiw that was an entry level sim racing setup.

I nearly screamed when Tam attempted to stop the malfunctioning Fanatec Podium wheel that was spinning at the beginning. edit: whew, that's the CSL DD now that I look closer, not the Podium... only 8nm of torque but can still damage you if it's out of control like that.

Loved the spinning wheel and "there hasn't been a single red light". Tam, you're gonna have to livestream your final licensing test.
