I cannot get the PS4 controller to work with Isaac. Any help? I have tried Joy2key and DS4 wrapper. I must be missing something. Running windows 8.

And I can relate to the crazy when it comes to gambling alll too well.

Effective gambling is key to doing well. The chance of getting blood bag, flies, and dollars help a lot.

By the way @patrickklepek, there's a bit of strategy for making the Monstro II fight easier:

You can stop him jumping around the room by baiting him into firing his laser over and over. It's easy enough to dodge once you get used to the timing.

The funny thing is that's completely a good strategy. Sometimes. Sometimes the pills and slot machines screw you.

Patrick you missed the fact you could have bombed the right or left side at 37 minutes and MAYBE found a secret area... since you were bombing that place anyway

The music playing at the 44 to 45 minute mark reminded me of some early Linkin Park music. I was almost hoping it would build up into My December or break out into 'Breaking the Habit'.

Patrick, Non-spoilery combat tip: I've had quite a bit of trouble with those weird eyeball laser things that killed you at the end there, and I have a strategy that can let you reliably take them out. If you run by all of them in the same direction (i.e. run by all of them vertically) you will trigger all of them to fire, giving you time to shoot at them while they are immobilized. once they are all done firing, just do the same thing and get them to all shoot in the same direction while you avoid all of them. Safe way to do it.

Tammy's Head is a pretty good item. You just need to use it on every single room you enter. It recharges after each room.

SpiderMod might help you! Native controller support, not sure if that works with DS4 tho

While the Yum Heart is probably more valuable than Tammy's Head, the value of the latter is that it recharges every room. So if you're going to take that item, you should use it every room.

In general Patrick I think you should pay a little more attention to the recharge rate of your space bar items and use the offensive ones more freely.

It's hard to tell if he thinks gambling is useful for advancing in the game or funny for the viewers. Unfortunately, it is neither.

i got this right after the first episode of binding of patrick, now i'm hooked. i was hoping so badly he would use the machine till it exploded and it would reveal the dollar. I've only had it happen to me once and it was immediately after i had unlocked cain by collecting coins and not spending a cent at shops or arcades.

So did he. When Cordelia first meets Wesley in Angel and he says "I'm a rogue demon hunter now" she asks "Wow. What's a rogue demon?" You were out-nerded, my friend.

Gambling is the key to victory. Although more so when playing as Cain.

Fortunately, you're wrong on both accounts.

Come to think of it, isn't it weird that you unlock Cain by getting money, not Judas?

Today I finally beat the game for the first time since I first obtained Wrath of the Lamb! Of course, I have barely played it since I got WotL, but it felt pretty good. I was using Cain and came across an arcade with plenty of money to spare. That helped out a lot.

I don't think I'll be playing the game too much beyond this, though. I'll just look forward to Rebirth.

fwiw, though I was a frequent viewer of Spelunkin', I'm tuned out until this segment is over. I don't know if it's just that the aesthetic is totally not my style or there's something more to it that I don't like about this game, but I definitely was not having much fun watching this series.
