He's Dan. If he played at home, do you think he'd stop and learn the right way?

You mean Dan "The Riot SMG is the best gun in the game" Rykert?

If you play this game i can't recommend enough a tiny mod that removes these tiny delays that are for some reason built into this game.

if you have played the game you know when people are moving, weird animation is playing, etc, it takes control from you for second or two, it gets old, fast, and even watching this is annoying.

there is a mod that touches nothing else expect removes these tiny delays and makes the game so much more responsive.

there is also a similar mod for xcom 2

At least he's seeming like he wanted to show up for work and play this game. For Dan, at least. On normal, that should be more than enough with their unstoppable a-team.

They are in a decent spot now, but the danger lies in the fact that their A-team is just that, a single A-team. If they get unlucky and people from that team die, they will be in big trouble.

favorite glitch in this is if you heal yourself, the guy steps aside, heals air, and steps back to the place.

i guess they never thought of a possibility that a Physician, would want to heal thyself

They already got unlucky and lost two high-profile units from their A-team. In fact, they've lost multiple high-ranking units over the course of the game and the game has never put the hurt on them following these occurrences, so they'll probably be fine.

Y'all are overreacting methinks. Dan plays fast and loose but this is normal difficulty, they'll be fine.

Good episode! BUT SERIOUSLY WHEN ARE THEY BRINGING MATTHEW RORIE TO THE FRONT

Dan did good despite the glitch that happened, though I wish he'd focus on giving kills to rookies.

that xavier glitch was insane though, and I don't think I've encounter that specific instance in xcom, though I've had similar in xcom 2

I really thought Abomination's number was up on that truck. The second enemy missing what was probably a 90% shot was quite something.

Jezz Dan Ryckert running through everything all willy-nilly at breakneck speed seriously gives me an anxiety attack.

XCom has always been buggy. It's really sad to see huge game breaking bugs exist to this day. Dan did good this run, nothing was his fault here.

That glitch was a bummer. For future reference, a quick reload of the save might fix any wonkiness that is going on, like if the evac area at the skyranger is missing. Or if someone happened to be ragdolled off into space.

Honestly couldnt have done any better, shows how poorly most Xcom players play with the amount of negative remarks to dan. He can definitely be annoying but you dont need to hide behind everything all the time and inch along on this difficulty with a fairly solid squad. A+

That AI is so forgiving. Xcom soldiers in the open? Think I shall move instead. Still, Dan did alright I say. Temple ship is gonna be savage AF though.

Dan must be the luckiest person alive, the number of times he has moved people into flanked positions or just left them out of cover completely across this feature an got away with it is amazing.

He's had his share of disasters, such as the episode with the cyberdisk, Don Rickle's secret mission among others, but with the way he plays, it ought to be happening every episode.

I wouldn't call that first turn lucky. He got punished then for moving ahead carelessly and leaving his guys out of cover.

Though the AI sure looks to just have given up after firing those two shots at Ryckert (both of which had the potential to one shot him). Poor Mechtoid got all demoralized after his little friend was killed. :( (He just wandered off after losing sight of Dirtbike?)

They still have to encounter sectopods though, and especially in enemy within those things can wreck you in an instant.

That ending was perfect, I kinda hoped Dan & Vinny would reference

the spirit of Xavier Woods guiding that mech to its impending doom.

@matiaz_tapia: I think he's just gotten tired of playing X-Com and wants to get it over with as quick as possible.
