Unfinished: Realm Royale 6/22/2018

I do remember that, all too well.

Ever since, I've sworn never to play a Hi-Rez game again. Which thankfully, they've made very easy for me.

This actually looks... fun. I dislike Fortnite because of the building mechanics, which I suck at and I think is just a dumb hook. Although PUBG is still more my speed... just waiting for it to be updated 12 more times so it runs optimally and they remove the small map.

Does Hi-Rez do anything other than jump into whatever multiplayer thing is popular at the time?

The game was out in Closed Beta by November 2015, being in Closed Alpha but already playable a few months prior to that.

It's hysterical that people accuse of Hi-Rez of copying Blizzard: one of the most derivative companies in the business. To this day people will waltz into Paladins videos/streams accusing characters of being OW clones because of an ability or base weapon, ignoring that the rest of their kit is vastly different.

Extra hilarious when the characters in question existed before their so-called OW counterparts.

Both games take a ton of inspiration from others. That's how game development works.

Well, the game is free, and I've enjoyed it, even if it's a little dumb.

I'm happy this game uses a continuous soundtrack, way too few games seem to dare to that these days. Other than that, I don't think I like anything in this. Classes, colored loot and third person perspective is pretty much antithetical to what let me have at least a couple of hours of fun with PUBG last year, even though that game never quite grabbed me either.

You can add whatever bullshit you want to these games but at the end of the day... the shooting and gunplay is king. That's why I just stick with PUBG for now.

Have not seen Paladins but this looks like WoW (the way the world looks, how buildings are big) but with "battle royal" looks kinda interesting but I never feel good supporting Hi Rez practices, going to pass on this.

I’m not sure I can ever forgive Hi-Rez Studios for fucking up and then abandoning Tribes: Ascend. I really loved that game, and spent a fair chunk of cash on it too (under $100... I think).

This looks like a fake video game. Probably the most generic looking game I've seen in quite awhile.

You wanna take about fake video game, Radical Heights. At least this has textures and is made by a company that still exists.
