When Danny said "Stop Installing Quake on the IT room Computers" I had a flashback to my high school accounting class where all the slacker kids would download doom and deathmatch all class. Man...that was a fun time.

Gotta seriously disagree with Ben here regarding WatchDogs 2. I don't feel like that game really advanced that series and if anything took a few steps back in some regards. It was the perfect example of a company that listened to the complaints and went off in a completely wrong direction instead of building on what they already had. The original WatchDogs had a great backbone to it, and was intentionally kinda dark and gritty. Instead of evolving those systems they built in and making a better story, they took this hard goofy left and made it all "wacky" without necessarily making the game play any better. I actually say it's worse because instead of cleverly jumping from camera to camera in order to hack some of those systems, you spend 90% of the game flying your drone and tagging things to the point where actually walking around as the protagonist becomes an afterthought.

Hugely wasted potential and I hope they get away from "Zany" Watchdogs with the next iteration, but since it sold better they probably won't.

i really dig the far cry 5 player created levels where you go through a maze. all time favorite part of far cry 2 were those maps

Danny is incredible. This trivia game is absolute trash.

First thought when I saw Jeff's character was "Finally I get to play Shawn Michaels the way he was meant to be played."

Man, not only is "Knowledge is Power" glacially slow, but I feel like the questions were all written by someone who picked up a National Geographic magazine from 1983, turned to their co-developers, and said "Wow guys, did you know that the statue of 'Christ the Redeemer' overlooks the City of Rio de Janeiro?! We should totally put that in our quiz-game because THAT will certainly feel hip and modern!"

EDIT: Holy shit, a Steffi Graf question? And I thought I was just joking about the questions being written by someone who was trapped in the 1980s.

Holy shit, Danny, that exact same scenario with that beheading video on Kazaa being renamed something...'sexual' happened to a friend of mine back in high school. (Not me. I never had much trouble finding the proper videos.) He was promised a Russian cheerleader. There was some yelling, not quite cheering. And it sure sounded Russian. But the activity these men were engaged in was anything but sexual.

Assassins Creed Unity had those cool short missions that took place in different time periods, like when the Statue of Liberty was being built in france or when France was occupied in WW2, so that could be why some of the assets were usable in that Far Cry 5 arcade mode which the newer AC games don't have.

Was the best thing about that game, which is a shame because it was such a small part of it.

Damn, I've gotta admit this has turned me off of Far Cry 5. It'll be interesting to see the reviews.

Social Media means that stuff gets blasted to everyone easily unlike say, Rotten.com which people had to work to find or media had to work to broadcast to others.

I'm going to get a lot of skanceways looks for this comment, but as someone who used to live in Montana, the whole wolf interlude hit an odd note. Shooting wolves in Montana brings up a lot of local political associations, given the big controversy over wolf reintroduction and how it became this symbolic conflict of environmentalism vs. ranching & the "Montana way of life." It was really The Big Controversy in Montana for a long while; there was a big story every time a rancher shot a wolf and debate over whether the individual shooting was necessary or had been done just out of general opposition to the program etc. I realize these are T-virus monster wolves in a Far Cry game, but the whole "hey, wolves are big enemies; shoot as many as possible" thing dropped into the Montana setting brings up a lot of stuff. I know - Far Cry having difficulty with subtlety & nuance; weird. But they have some of the trappings of the controversy involved, like one of the wildlife biologists monitoring the wolf population; it's like they understood the situation enough to know some of the players involved but not enough to know what was actually going on. If they were engaging more with the Montana setting, they could've done more with this thread.

(Not to mention the oddness of using the local wolf population as an army, since the entire state has like 500 total. But then I suppose we'd also have to answer why that dead Native American guard at the wolf site had sided with the white supremacists, and I'm not sure the developers have an answer for that one, either.)

@indigozeal: Thanks for this comment. It seems like this game has a few things like that where they have this real thing to play with and just kind of go weird with it. Which, I guess they probably do with all their settings but this is a setting that we actually have knowledge of.
