@jennifyre: I have a G502. My only complaint is with the feet. They're shaped terribly. They have pointy angles so they can easily get caught up and peel off. The back one is the absolute worst because there's not only a pointy edge, but the pointy edge sits atop an uncovered screw hole, so it has barely any surface to stick to.

If you get a g502, I highly recommend you register it on Logitech's website. You WILL need to replace the feet. It's only a matter of time, and when it comes you will need a record of your receipt to make use of the warranty.

@schnoo: Because it didn't give you a win or the other player a loss. It still might not. I'm not sure since I don't really play SFV.

Capcom could've just included an anthology of SF anime and be satisfied of the plot element in the game. Or produce a new series but that would require too much effort trademarking 'devour'.

Brad, if you punch someone you need to make sure you knock them out when they are on the ground or they get up like they did continuously here.

Also you had a hammer, a knife and a screwdriver. Why did you use your fists to fight when you could have done a one hit melee kill with any of those weapons equipped? Melee with knife equipped is an instant kill. Use the weapons you have on you!

Also, throwing takes longer to do than a melee hit since you have to aim it. You never use melee attacks with weapons in the quicklooks, but melee attacks with a weapon equipped are extremely effective.

Yeah, I knew I needed to hit those guys again to make them stay down but they kept falling in the open doorway and I didn't want to instantly get mowed down by the guy out in the courtyard.

I totally should've used a weapon on that first guy, thought I'd be able to get up on him and do a silent takedown before he turned around. I should really play more of that game in between QLs so I don't forget all the ins and outs.

My god the SFV English voice acting is horrendous

Dhalsim, Cammy, and Rashid's are good.

Rorie is all about posting his puppy pictures, and no company will take that from him.

It's the Necalli Devour Hour!

It is a persistent misconception that to "put the DPI all the way up" is "the way to go"... and it's not helpful at all. Especially for first person shooters, most professional players put the DPI at around 800 or even 400 and adjust ingame sensitivity for comfort (usually also low, though); look at Overwatch players, for instance, which is a fast paced game, but still has many pro-players using 800 DPI and ingame sensitivities below 10. Many of these people also use rather large mousepads to effectively track what is happening on screen with their arm, and then do a flicking motion or track with the hand for precision.
This is because players don't need the highest measure of precision - DPI has largely become a marketing term anyway - but value a consistency (of precision) over all else.

No one is going to comment on Rorie's Braid shirt? For shame. Frame and Canvas is one of my top albums of all time. It's also one of the few bands that came from my home town that I am proud of. Everyone should check these guys out if you like Mid-Western Emo. Topshelf stuff.

Why is rage quitting in SFV a problem? If someone leaves in Dota it'll be way harder for the leavers team to win but in SFV all it means is that some crybaby gave up and you won.

That is the thing, you don't win. The match get canceled and nobody gets points.

It is pretty bad. Especially when you consider that Bison in Japanese is voiced by the god known as Norio Wakatamoto

It's so bizarre that they didn't account for this in a competitive fighting game...

@dougfunk15: if you played it at all you would realize at its heart it's still a technically great fighter which should be the most important thing, but people get hung up on all the superfulous stuff that admittedly capcom promised so now it gets stigmatized as being incomplete (or in some people's words "a flaming hot garbage fire"). jason loves these games so it's fair of him to want to talk it up and defend it, especially in the face of rather hyperbolic criticism.

i always said that even though it was in a technically incomplete state and that would unfortunately leave a lasting impression with some, that it would eventually get where it needs to be and that seems to be the case.

The problem with putting out a game in such an unfinished state, is that the only people still playing it now that it is where it "needs to be", are likely the people who didn't care about a story mode in the first place. More casual fighting game players don't tend to wait months, then come back to a game. That goes for virtually any game, really.

Capcom have deserved every bit of bad press for SFV. They charged full price for an unfinished game that initially also had broken ass multiplayer, then promised to finish it after the fact. A franchise like Street Fighter deserved better treatment than that.

And I'm still totally waiting for Guy in SF 5.

@vrikk: My understanding is that they are not going to be coming back and they are gone for good once the time is up. It's a cool idea but it kinda sucks because I was planning on picking up the game once all of the levels were released but now I feel like I'm missing out on content by waiting.

Isn't Bison saying "this is delicious" in that cutscene specifically a reference to the amazing/awful cartoon? Surely they wouldn't use such a non-standard expression by chance...

The actually got the Bison Doll thing partially right. Cammy IS a clone of Bison.

Which makes rule 34 searches so much weirder. Or spicier, no kinkshaming here.

And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way Street Fighter V makes you switch characters in Story Mode. Because you always fight with the character that canonically wins the fight, which makes your progress by winning make sense (favorite part is Ryu getting his ass kicked by Necalli who in turn gets beaten by Dhalsim to show off how much of a bad ass Dhalsim actually is). They also make you switch according to the story instead of the predictable MK method of "Play 3 matches with character X and then 3 with Y and 3 with Z etc.". I still think that the MK stories are actually more entertaining to watch, but the way it's presented is superior in SFV imo.
