What is this, sports center? Bring back a nice grimy couch! It aint UPF unless I can see Jeff's shorts.

Even though I preferred the friendlier and more comfortable vibe the couches had, I could easily get used to them having a desk now, that's not really a problem. The biggest problem to me is how incredibly ugly that desk looks. Feels like a repurposed desk from a cheap news show from the early 2000s or something.

This version of the desk with just one color instead of the bright red looked cooler. Maybe with some LEDs slapped on it to have some accents in red light, kinda like how Gamespot did it.

I agree that this look a bit too "professional" for for UPF, but you know what, I'm sure it will grow on me. My biggest concern is everyone being forced to sit in office chairs, which seems way less comfortable than the previous setup for prolonged play.

Um excuse me, but I’m very resistant to change. Can you stop?

Bring back the couch. I tuned in and thought i was watching IGN, Gamespot, Kinda Funny, Rooster Teeth..literally every other establishment.

I trust the duders to make it have more personality. They just set it up. Let's all chill and give them some time to decorate and feel the new set up out.

Like every other change with Giant Bomb this new set upsets me in a way I don't even understand, but I'll get used to it way faster than I expected.

The new set looks awesome and makes way more sense. It probably affords them more space too.

I don't know about that desk! It doesn't look like it was retrieved from a street corner so I'm not sure how to feel about it.

Sorry duders I'm just not feeling it. It looks super nice and all but it just feels soulless. The couch setup was such a charming and welcoming part of the site for 10 years and this just feels wrong. I hope you can change my mind.

I don't know about these desks. Used to feel like a bunch of buddies hanging out, this seems more like a morning show. The vibes all wonky.

The new set is so cool! I can't wait for all the weird decorations and camera stuff...and they will do with the monitors.

I really don't like this whole desk thing. It completely destroys the chilled out relaxing with your friends after a shit week at work vibe that the studio has had forever. I can't even explain why it doesn't bother me at all for GBE and makes my skin crawl here, but it does.

As a professional AV guy, I totally get everyone having fun with the new set and equipment. We actually tried wireles lavs at one of my old jobs and had horrible results so i get wired lavs even though it doesnt work with spinny chairs

Also if the the West crew likes the setup sure, why not. But it doesn't look comfortable compared to the couch situation and it doesn't look like it can seat everyone in case they have multiple guests.

I recommend a darker carpet below the desk monitors so there is less reflected light onto the screens. Overall I love the sharper look. Much more like the old On The Spot days.

Not sure if you guys have noticed but you have some kind of background noise when playing games. Sounds like the kind of feedback you get from a noisy motherboard. I’ve had the same sound on my PC when I have system sound way down and my speakers turned way up.

Reduce the desk by half and add a couch. Problem solved and Jeff can sit at the desk with the PC. Wholesome.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about the desk, very much an ESPN vibe to it. But I'll reserve judgment until they have a chance to decorate again and make the space feel "lived in."

New set is nice but it doesn't feel inviting at all. Everyones so spread out, the appeal of the previous set up was that it was super warm and friendly and the haphazard nature was really unique. This just feels cold and lifeless :(

Yeah, couch was more "hey we're just hanging out playing some games and doing whatever". Desk is too professional.

@tr0n: The problem is UPF became... too unprofessional, at least for me. I stopped watching years ago because the hyper-chill nature of it made the show a snoozefest. I know that's the appeal to some people, but I personally prefer content where the crew is more alert and on their A-game. Hopefully the desk helps provide for this.

Put a high sofa behind the desk and make everyone happy. The setup reminds me to the east coast, it has a lot of potential but if feels a bit cold yet without any decoration and those camera angles (all front facing)

Desk works for GBE so I'm fine with this too, if they feel more comfy and better than I'm okay with this! I'm sure most that don't like this will get used to it over time.
