VinnyVania: Dracula's Curse - Part 03

I don't understand why Vinny doesn't go ghost girl on every knight. Does he need to meet some prequisite or is he just lacking discipline (read it in Carman's voice).

Shout out to Home Movies! My favorite show of all time.

I saw Emo Phillips live a couple years ago at a comedy show that was generally more jaded-hipster-friendly (a bunch of younger guys, as well as respected oldsters like Eddie Pepitone and Dave Foley). Emo was funny as hell, and the crowd loved him. He was still totally himself but the material was just modernized enough to fit perfectly for the audience.

Emo Phillips was also in a bunch of Adventure Times eps I think.

On behalf of all emu, I apologize to @austin_walker . Intolerance runs deep in emu culture and some don't take kindly to half-birds.

Austin had it right. DeVito was in the movie Heist. You might be thinking of The Score, a Robert De Niro/Edward Norton movie that came out the same year (and was also about a heist).

This game is an epic. Right when you think it's nearing the end, a whole other map appears!

Austin hinted at this during the stream, but it's important to note that the candles containing Sypha's spells correspond to which sub-weapon the candle normally holds (e.g. A candle that normally holds a Dagger will drop a Fire Spell when Sypha is active).

Dagger, Axe = Fire Spell

Holy Water = Ice Spell

Cross = Lightning Spell

Stopwatch = Stopwatch (Still uses 5 hearts)

Always remember, each spell is extremely useful in certain situations, and they only require 1 heart per use. Fire has a longer range than the whip, and it's more powerful to boot. It can destroy most bosses if used correctly, as you saw with the Hydras. Ice has a short range, but nice coverage (everything in a half-circle radius) and a useful effect (freezing enemies and letting you shatter them in one hit). It is very useful in the stages against regular enemies, as it acts as a simultaneous defensive and offensive spell, but it has no effect on the bosses. Lightning is the rarest spell for a good reason: It's probably the most powerful spell in the game. It shoots out three Orbs that have incredible range with a slight homing effect. As such, it is useful both in stages and against most bosses, as it allows Sypha to tear apart enemies and bosses from a safe distance.

The past two of these have cut off really oddly. Like, in the middle of sentences?

Part 3 of 7 :') How wrong Alex was! Rewatching VinnyVania is great :D

This series still encapsulates why i never played or beat any Castlevania game.
