Just got the add-on (europe here). So what do you think? It really seams awesome. Just quickly stomped everyone on Prince, as the Byzantine Empire. The City-States are actually fun now. However Austria seems overpowered.

It's awesome, but now I'll always have to rush to discover Christianity, which is kind of a drag. I really like that you get to edit the name of your Religion. It's a really awesome game and the add on makes it only better. Which reminds me, Imma go play it right now.

I agree, Austria being able to buy allied City-States sounds incredibly useful. I'll have to try that civ the next time I play.

I'm also enjoying it immensely so far.

    EDIT: Spelling.

I did the same, Byzantines on Prince.

The addition of more units really improves military stuff. More of an even climb, there used to be huge gaps between eras (Medievil to Renaissance used to go 17 for Longswordsman, 25 for Musket). Siege units are more powerful for their specific job, the new Gatling/machine gun units are interesting. The improvements to navy are crucial, I actually want to play an archipelago game now.

@Wuddel: I just realized there's actually a separate page for Gods & Kings, for future reference =)

There are a bunch of overview videos on youtube. Really good stuff. I am curious to see how the city state "competitions" will shake out, once you don't win all of them automatically on higher difficulties.

@Galiant: Yeah. They really should merge them.
