Silent hill shall be silent
i loved Silent hill 1-3 So i was expecting something good from homecomming cause i didnt think they were going to suck as hard as Silent hill 4, I was right in the sence that this game is not all bad.
First of all, The good points, Seeing as how there are little of those in coimparison to the bad points,
For starters the combat was good, In silent hill standards the combat feels a little like walking in some glue but homecommings combat was a bit quicker and a lopt more heavy feeling, In a sence that when you have a poleand you stroke something with it, You get this cool feeling of bashing the bajesus out of something.
Second good point, The graphics were beautyful. The textures and the models were fantasyicly done, The animations could have used some work but the filter they had running through the whole game makes up some of the difference.
It's like your watching an old movie the whole time.
Now lets get to my gripes, Other than the two parts i stated above, The game was an utter failure as a silent hill, i bought it hoping for a new silent hill and what i got was a game that was trying to be a new horror flick, And we all know those suck so needless to say i was dissapointed. But that aside you see Silent hill characters and creatures from other silent hill games needlessly honestly.
This is a little better than Silent hill 4 but not by much,
I cant give away any plot points so you'll just have to take my word for it.
You can go buy it to see for yourself cause it is only like 25-30 bucks so its not all that bad.
But i want to make sure igive you some warning for the 3 hour POS that is Silent hill homecomming.
The story is poor at best, i wont ruin it for anyone that really cares but its something to do with your little brother and your parents. You'll see if you look it up or play it, All in all poorly writen and thought out. Some people can like this for its simplicity but i've said it before and i'll say it again, I hate games that are pretentious just to be it. And homecomming is one of those games.
The music was slow and there were only i think 3 real songs, If there were more i didnt hear them or they sound like all the other ones.
Homecomming gets a poor score not because of its downfalls alone, But because of the good parts act as if they make up for this games apparent downfalls. So go and try it if your really that curious but i gave you warning.
Now go out there and play some some games.
