Typically when a game has a history like Sleeping Dogs it comes out kind of like a half aborted creation in which you get bits and pieces of the direction but also see a distinct lack of fluidity. Now obviously it's difficult to really tell a lot from a preview but what I have pulled are 2 very important things. #1 The video is comprised entirely of in game footage, and #2 the preview is lengthy. Given these two things and how far away we still are from release I think we can assume that all parties involved are very confident with how this has shaped up. Honestly I wouldn't have been surprised if this game had been kept on the low down until just weeks prior to its release.

...The reactions to the demo they showed were all positive. Honestly, i'm just worried about the "fluid slow motion" mechanic. Slow motion is cool, but doing it everytime you jump and shoot may make this whole bullet-time thing, very repetitive.

I'm sorry but the name is awful. Just awful. Say it out loud to yourself and try not to even giggle. I dare you

Well if you put them down when they're asleep they don't suffer.

I never played Stranglehold. Was it very repetitive?

Hopefully the melee combat will freshen it up a notch then? I don't remember a melee component to Stranglehold.

The thing that I liked about Yakuza was the random activities you could partake, not to mention the cool location it took place. Hong Kong looks very fun place to run around in.

I hope it ends up being a bad game just so we can see a bunch of hack reviews containing the phrase "let sleeping dogs lie."

Definately not a 60$ purchase. Maybe a try it used and return it at gamestop, or buy it when it hits 20$ or less. I loved true crime streets of LA. Well.... I liked it anyways. A good 7.5 out of 10, but this game just looks.... Boring so far. Alittle too janky

It looked like a beat-them-up game to me: kill 2 guys here than move to the next room and kill 5 than move to the next room and kill 5 more...

I hope that I am wrong; I could go for a deep open world game right about now.
