Overview
In this hybrid horse racing & solitaire game, the player must alternate between playing a version of card solitaire and directing a racehorse though a circuit. Playing the solitaire game well yields better positioning in the race, and also provides more energy to maneuver and sprint your horse.
The version of solitaire is not Klondike, but involves pulling adjacent numbered (higher or lower) card off of a grid of visible cards. When no moves are available, new sequence cards can be drawn off the remaining deck until one allows more matches from the exposed grid.
Pocket Card Jockey was initially released as Solitiba on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan in 2013. A Free-to-Play iOS and Android version was launched in November 2014, and eventually ended its service in December 2015. The 3DS game was later released internationally as Pocket Card Jockey in 2016.
