A taste of what's to come

I picked up Move and Sports Champions on a whim on Saturday because the store had sold out of NHL11 and I wasn't leaving empty handed. The games features a variety of different sports which are a nice mix of frantic, twitch gaming (table tennis), tactical action (sword fighting) and laid back party gaming (Bocce).

Out of all of the game types I enjoyed sword fighting the most, not because the game is anything special, more because it is a tech demo for future games. Using two motion controllers, one for sword & one for shield, you take on a ladder of increasingly difficult opponents. After playing through the 3 difficulty levels I just couldn't stop thinking about how awesome something like Dragonage could be with this tech. It's incredibly involving and feels so accurate and responsive.

Get this game if you picked up Move on release day and are struggling for something to play, it has enough variety to keep you busy for a while yet until the AA Move titles hit the shelves.

Gettin' your lazy ass of the couch 0

So.. we are finally here ! The release of Sonys motion controllers brings the "wii" into the modern HD-age.   I picked up sports champions as my first title, as it was the only disc-based game that had gotten any kind of praise.  The different sports all function very well, and how much you will get out of each one depends greatly on your interest in each spesific sport.  My personal favorites are the Gladiator game and Pingpong. Both play and feel great. They also get my lazy ass of the couch. ...
