Hiya folks! 
I was checking my email today and stumbled upon a notification from, i forgot exactly, Fileplanet, or Ign.com, saying that you can now download the Open Beta Client, which I am currently doing right now. But before it finishes, I just want to know that i'm not doing it for no reason at all.  
First: Am I required to have a game key from an actual pre-order from lets say, GameStop, or Best Buy? 
Second: Do I need a code from Fileplanet, or IGN that they give out randomly, like they did with Battlefield Bad Company 2? 
Third: Is it me, or this game rocks my socks off?, until Star Wars The Old Republic, not taking sides, but i'm more for Star Wars :P

Yes you need a code, and GIANT BOMB HAS THEM!!!!!! giantbomb.com/stobeta for codes. I got mine a few minutes ago but I dont know how long they'll last. Then go to startrekonline.com (I think) and sign up and all that buisness.

Just want to say thanks to the guys at Giantbomb for doing this.  I got my code and don't need to sign up for any subscriptions or fees.  Thanks Bomb Squad!
