This tournament is open to players of all skill levels and you're welcome to come spectate even if you're not participating.

Rules:

- The tournament will be played in a double elimination format. This means you'll have to lose twice in order to be eliminated.

- The semi-final(Losers's bracket and Winner's bracket) and final matches will be played as a Best-of-3.

- If a player drops from a match, he may request a rematch, assuming the match was relatively even.

- No cheating or use of exploits is allowed.

- Spectating other people's matches is allowed, assuming you don't have to play a match yourself. But please be courteous enough to leave if a player experiences lag due to a large number of spectators.

+ Map to play on will be determined by elimination. Each player will eliminate one map each until only one map remains to play on. (You can also just come to a consensus together on which map you want to play on)

+ In the Best-of-3's in the semi-final and final the loser gets to pick the map after the first game.

Official sign-ups will be done via the Challonge website on the day of the tournament itself. This is done to eliminate people who sign up a week ahead of time and then never show up. You'll have the ability to sign up officially until the starting time of the tournament(listed below). You will need a Challonge account to sign up. (also below)

You also need anUS Battle.net accountin order to participate. (Or a time pass in case you're from Europe and don't have a US account) “I have some guest passes available as does other members of the forums”

I´m also making it a requirement for everyone to sign up using their own Challonge account. The advantage of this is that you´ll be able to report the outcome of your matches yourself, rather than waiting for me to update the brackets.

Sign-ups will be open until 12:30PM CST / 1:30PM EST / 10:30AM PST /7:30:00 PM CEST / 17:30:00 GMT. This means you should arrive/sign up before those times, otherwise you won't be included in the bracket and won't be able to participate. Signing up will only take a minute, but don't be late, because if you don't sign up, you cannot participate.

Terran player are too buy crying about queen range lol.

@haffy: Terran seems to be in kind of a bad spot now. High Templars and Zerg Tier 3 just demolish a Terran army unless controlled amazingly well. Terran timings are getting harder and harder to pull off and harass is becoming less and less effective.

That said, I might play Terran for the tournament, just so someone is.

@YI_Orange: Eh, it's kind of hard to feel sorry for Terran lol. They might have it hard now, but it certainly hasn't always been this way.

@haffy: I guess, but I've always kind of felt that Terrans had to work a lot harder for their wins and I've always found it the most difficult race to play. Microing your army around so it doesn't die is a lot harder than hitting a couple good storms or baneling hits. While Banelings have gotten a bit more difficult to make really good, ultras can just sort of attack move, especially if you mix in some brood lords.

Edit - Not counting the cheese of course.

@YI_Orange: I think it's really hard to say which race is harder. I mean every race has hard points about playing them. To me it's like comparing which sport is harder to play, badminton or tennis. You can come up with why whichever thing your arguing for is harder, but realistically it's hard not to be biased and favor your own race or sports difficulty.

Really I don't think the game has been massively imbalanced at any point. Only the maps were fucking shit. If you look at Antiga Shipyard it's actually still pretty Terran favored, even with the current overall TvZ winrate. I think you could get rid of any imbalances through maps alone. I mean BW did it for something stupid like 8+ years and no balance patches?

Not it matters I'm so rusty, I'd get whupped. And I have feeling most who play in these are above my skill level.

Not 100% sure, but I think you need a new account.

I think they expire after 7 hours of gameplay or 14 days since you activated it whichever comes first.

Unless it's a quick KotH like we've been having recently, I don't think it's worth it to try another one of these tourneys before HotS.
