I keep thinking I should play Starcraft 2, I always enjoyed RTS games and can play them in terms of basic mechanics, and that I should be watching the live tournaments I keep hearing about. On the Podcast I heard Ryan mention that he was watching a live stream with good commentary for him since he doesn't know what all the acronym are that keep getting thrown around. The only one Ive found is http://www.gomtv.net/ but I dont know what it is or if its good for me.

Can anyone please show me where these are? I can understand all the basic mechanics and how to play RTS' but its more what happens when you get pro that I get lost so I dont need a "beginners tutorial".

I'm terrible at SC2 but like Ryan, I find the commentary great. I'd reccomend checking out TeamLiquid.net for live streams. They have streams up pretty much constantly and they're all pretty good and not too hard to follow for someone just getting into SC2. Also check out Day[9]. He does amazing stuff.

Day 9 is awesome. He can get a little high level sometimes, some of the stuff he gets into doesn't make much difference for bronze or silver but he discusses a lot of really key things that help a lot.
Youtube is great for that too check out guys like Husky and HDstarcraft. Psy is also great particularly for Zerg players.
The Team Liquid forums are a great resource too.

Definitely watch Day9's lower level casts, and his explanatory videos on Day9tv. There are some great ones on basic level decision making, how to learn from replays of losses, like this.

I wouldn't recommend Husky or HD if you're looking to get better at the game. They're more for the entertainment.

I listen to Husky (YouTube username HuskyStarCraft). I'm a beginner and listening to him I pick up a lot of great tips, and the matches are just enjoyable to watch.

I began listening to HuskyStarcraft to start off with but I learnt a lot from Day9 he is fantastic, there is a reason that he commentated Blizzcon over Husky and HD. So yeah, go watch Day9, you can search his name on YouTube if thats your thing.

I watched some of Day9's content and quite like it, though his style is exactly appealing to me, and I watched a bunch of the Gom content from the GSL. Though I need Day9's content to explain stuff I really like the whole "E-sports" vibe that Gom has, I imagine thats what its like to watch Football or something.

I really like SC2Noobschool on YouTube.  His earlier videos lay down some of the most basic things you need to know about Starcraft 2.  Recently he has been doing unit spotlights where he talks about how to use different types of units (e.g. Bannelings, Void Rays, etc)  He also does tutoring where you can send him your replays and he does a commentary on the match and sends it back to you.  He also posts some of these on YouTube for everyone to see.

I also really enjoy TotalHalibut/TotalBiscuit's "I suck at Starcraft 2" videos.  He has a bunch of his first SC2 games up and its really cool to see him rag on himself about stupid stuff that we have all done.  He gets better over the course of the series and gives great tips on how to go from sucky to less sucky.
