Go Thor/Hellion with some decent micro and you will make many zergs rage. Unless you're protoss in which case mega-mass high templar.

what i hate is the fact that for some reason now when i play 1vs1 i end up playing 5 zerg in a row that all do 6 or 10 pools. Its crazy. last night i played 8 games and 6 were zerg rushes. Why did that happen? I hae been using zerg since the game came out but now when i play i dont want to pick them in 1 vs 1 because EVERYONE is. If everyone picks them then people are gonna get really good beating them. Even though i dont do a ling rush.  And yet, when i play 2vs2 i barely ever play against a zerg.

Muta/ling
Roach/ling

I find for roach/ling I go colossus. 
 
Muta/ling: high templars work well. 
 
But I haven't played ladder in forever so not sure if things have changed much. 

Immortals completly destory roaches and phoenix completly destroy mutas. Protoss pretty much have a hard counter for everything and it isn't really hard for you to scout either.

Well if you were Terran the answer would've been super easy 
 

My colossus get flanked by lings or he makes a few corruptors to kill them.  Roaches eat up the stalkers I make to kill the corruptors.  HTs are good for a storm before they are worthless, and most people move out of the way before it does any real damage.
 
Most of the time we come out even on battles, but zerg can just hit S RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
and have 50 roaches in like 30 seconds.
 
While my 8-9 warpgates can get me 8 or 9 units.

Maybe you should post some replays, so we can actually see your problems in action. Right now it's hard for me to understand how you can get your Colossi flanked by zerglings.

Stalkers with blink and immortals is generally how I roll.
 
Scout your opponents base on 9 food.  If they have almost no drones, make a gateway (or two depending on time) and chrono boost the fuck out of it.  Repel the attack and he'll have no economy to fall back on.  GG.

I hate facing Zerg too but that's because I also play Zerg, it's my most stressfull match and the only one where I ever have the slightest impulse to just early pool cheese. All advantages zerg have are lost in a mirror match, with creep even working against you.

There were a few games today where I was getting muta harassed like crazy.  I had blink stalkers was trying to make phoenix too, but I just couldn't seem to stop it.  In one game I just got fed up and decided to attack his main and absolutely destroyed him.
 
I'll post some replays tomorrow, but for now I am going to bed.

Take a page from Nazgul and blink stalker them to death.
