I figured this is what EG.InControl was talking about.  And why Greg Fields moved back to America.  The only downside is this will fragment the best players into different leagues, and I'll probably have to pay for GSL tickets AND this.  Oh well, maybe some Koreans will come to NA and be the foreigners for once. 
 
EDIT: Oh my God, it looks like Geoff Robinson (EG.INcontrol) is going to be a caster for the NASL.  That.  Is.  Awesome.  The dude has a hugely funny personality.

Not sure if it's better, but it's certainly bigger in terms of prize money and, I would argue, mainstream (gamer) attention.  Also, what if it's a huge troll and NASL doesn't stand for North American Starleague at all, but something else? lol "

MLG is the only major one that hasn't gone bankrupt (yet).

I love G4's strategy of waiting until they get booted off of my DirectTV before actually showing something I'm interested in.

Unless the prize money for this league can compete with the GSL it will never attract the best players and I don't think the audience here is big enough to support that kind of prize money.

MLG finals this year, last I heard, were going to have a Grand Prize of 50k for the winner.

Hype! Maybe this will actually be at a reasonable time for me to watch it!

That is more money then I was expecting them to put up for this. That could go a long way to bringing Korean players over to compete depending on how its divided up.
This is getting pretty awesome.

It would be funny if Brad and Norm left to go pro and first match a quirk of the draw put them against each other.
