During the lock you will be unable to get promoted or demoted and your bonus pull will stop growing until the beginning of season 3 on July 19.

Caution with this: 
Please note that the hidden ratings used to determine promotions and demotions will continue to update during the Season 2 lock and be used for matchmaking purposes. This means that if you play significantly better or worse than your assigned league at the time of the lock, your league may change when Season 3 begins and you play your first placement match. If you go on a major winning streak during the lock, for example, you may end up promoted next season. Conversely, if you happen to lose a lot more than usual, you may end up demoted. Your games during the lock still count!

I'm only playing in Season 3 if there is a good veto to shitty map ratio.  The maps that they have shown so far are terrible.  However shortly after they put them up on the PTR, they took down the PTR.  That could mean that they are going to rework them to make them less shit.

I feel like Season 2 just started. Well, I managed to get 32 wins in before I stopped playing; I don't know if I'm going to be able to repeat next season. Maybe I'll play enough to move up to Silver? 
 
...Probably not.

Got about 100 wins on both my accounts but I don't feel I improved at all.  Next season I am going to focus more on improving mechanics than worrying about composition or anything else like that.  I've already started doing that on my secondary account and have been playing much better. By better I mean steamrolling my opponents with mass zerglings and roaches while maxed at the 14 minute mark on 3-4 bases.
 
I'm also going to perfect my 6pool in zvz.  I only have around a 60% win ratio ZvZ with it and I think I can do better if I micro more. 
 
I'm also going to implement Buffcraft (look it up on TL) so I don't tilt as much and mass unneeded losses. Pushups/situps after losses.

8 1v1 wins like a BOSS... GM here I come for s3!!!
 
 
but nahh in generaly my mico has improved massivly as well as my multi tasking in general.. though my late game macro is terrible

good to hear the matches still count during the lock, i'm in plat now, too afraid to ladder, but i play a lot of custom, i'm consistently beating diamonds, and i've beaten a few masters. i'm just waiting for the time when i grow the balls to ladder again
