    Void Ray rushing is a tricky thing to stop.
    Generally ive been able to stop it with -
    Terrans-Marines plus Vikings
    Protoss-Stalkers and pheonixes.
     
    Has anyone found other tactics that work well?

    Go play zerg and make hydralisks until you cannot spawn anymore overlords.
     
    On a serious note, fuck mass vikings - set up a fat defensive perimeter around your base (and expansions) with missile turrets.
    A serious toss player would use 2-3+ void rays to infiltrate and kill workers from behind. Void rays are really really weak against missile turrets.
    And if he finds time to destroy them one by one by charging up between, just grab 4-5 left over vikings and rush over there to force him back.
    You just gotta stay on the edge of your toes basically.

    Ghost emp + marine stim is generally a void ray bloodbath.

    They are not hard to counter. Just don't let your opponent mass them, if you just sit back in your base all game you will get beat no matter what.

    Well really terran is the only race is works against. Toss will have zealot rushed you before you get 1 void ray or just have handful of stalkers to make the VR useless. Zerg should build 3-4 queens and have no issues.

    I just hate when 4+ of the bastards get on an extractor before i notice them. It basically means I have to sacrifice my base because sending in hydras will just make them die. God damn void rays.
