    Username in SC2 different from WC3 - or same?

    simple question. Does SC2 use the same username in BNet as WC3? Say my username is "WarcraftDude" in WC3, will it be the same in SC2? Or can I get a new username like "StarcraftDude"? 
     
    Reson I am asking is I just made a new account in WC3FT .... with a typo in it ... *facepalm*

    Nope, you login with your email and password you used to create your battle.net account (the one with your "real name" associated with), would be the same as your WOW account email if you play that.

    First thing the game asks you to do after booting it up and signing into Battle.Net is to enter a unique character name which seems to be the name used in MP, so yes, you can have a character name like "StarcraftDude" given that it is not taken already.

    @Bio2hazard:  Acutally same names may be allowed because all "characters" are assigned a 3 digit identifier, which could allow duplication of names. But since you could only make one "character" during the beta I could not test it out, so take that with a grain of salt if you will.

    @NotSoSneakyGuy:  That might be true. I don't know for sure as I only have 1 copy of the game. The character name seems to be fairly tied into the whole system. Ah well, I'm sure we will find out soon.
