A documentary pointing out how sad the pros are as people and how much work they put in. I think the giantbomb trip to korea did a really good job in showing how much these guys really work and what conditions they suffer through to be the best.

Instead creating one yourself, how about funding this one? It’s got 495 backers with a total of $16,719.

If you do want to create one yourself, then try and find out the life of a professional gamer, their history, their schedule, implications of being one etc. Go to MLG events to find how they work backstage.

I have seen that and i appreciaste what they are doing but i want to do something a little more personal so to speak? Im in college so money is a luxury haha. But yea, im working on getting a few interviews set up so heres to hoping!

They hardly "suffer." SC2 is not a "dictatorship" like BW. Korean players can do as they please for the most part and don't have a strict practice regimen.

And foreign players? Well, they definitely don't suffer as they hardly even practice compared to Koreans. If you're popular (not even good) you can make plenty of money sitting on your ass streaming a video game, let alone tournament winnings, sponsor money, team money, etc.

I hate to say it, but a behind the scenes expose of the player's circuit has kind of been done.

You watched the giantbomb coverage by brad and the gang right? Compared to other sports, e-sports is suffering. SC2 is better, but just watching the way some of the pros go about doing things it helps me understand why many people just stick to shout casting instead.

Are you seriously trying to judge the whole e-sports scene based on a single giantbomb video?

Also: what @SJSchmidt93: said. SC II pro practice is hardly as strict as it was in Brood War days.

@imsh_pl: I've seen the pro CS:S scene too, it is the same thing if not worse for the best of the best.

The giantbomb video makes it look BETTER then it really is.

That'll be the 'Lost in La Mancha' of video games. I like that idea, only if the timeline of development is riveting enough.
