Nothing is better than playing a level where you 'get' the layout and are able to run non stop from one end to the other. So far I've been mucking around in the second dark world to get good times. Most levels you should be able to just keep running, without having to stop in one place to wait for an obstacle to move out of the way. It gets really difficult to do it that way, but it is a zen experience to just keep moving and just narrowly dodge each obstacle.
