The goal of the Replay Channel was to allow players to view games during their rest periods out of combat, so they could better analyse the quality of their play by honing in on mistakes they make. Shoizaki said he wants players to have "snack time" while viewing the Replay Channel.
The "Battle Log" channel will automatically log your online battle replays. The "New Replay" channel holds only the replays of players who've won consecutive rank matches, meaning you can go here to see high level play from around the world. Older replays are eventually pushed out from the "Battle Log" channel. However, you can save replays that you like to your "My List" for future reference. The My List is viewable by all your friends via a "My Channel" section of the Replay Channel. This channel hosts the videos on all your friends' My Lists. Shiozaki mentions being able to engage in voice that with other players when viewing the My Channel. It's unknown if the voice chat will be restricted to My Channel only.
They also reveal the Replay Channel was originally due to be called Super Street Fighter IV TV, but they changed the name under the consideration that there's more to the mode than just TV.
I think this new feature sounds great, In my eyes it's going to be utilized well by the community and may well increase the standard of play around the world. I also think this is a good community feature.
