    Power is Everything

Once again the King of Iron Fist Tournement has begun and all the great fighters are invited.

    The story so far...

Like the previous games, only one ending is the real one (even tough some endings are connected between them), and at the end of Tekken 5, Jin Kazama was the winner. With this victory, the story of Tekken continues. After the 5º Tournement, Jin became the new head of Mishima Zaibatsu. Using the Tekken Force, Jin began conflicts around the world, proclaming the Mishima Zaibatsu as a independent nation and declaring war to the rest of the world. Seeing chaos and war every way, the people start to see G Corporation and Kazuya Mishima (he became the Corporation president, after kill the members who betrayed him in the beginning of Tekken 5) as their saviour.

Sensing the trouble impose by Kazuya, Jin anouced the 6º Iron Fist Tournement, in order to the get rid of any external thearts.

    Modes

First there is the Scenario Campaign, a mode similar with Tekken Force game in Tekken 4. Here the player controls a new character to the series, Lars Alexandersson along side Alesa Bosconovitch, another new character. During this mode the rest of the characters is unlock, and the player can use other fighters besides Lars.
Then we have the standard modes such as Arcade, Versus, Team Battle, Time Attack, Survival, Practice and Ghost Battle. There is also Online Mode.

    Characters

Tekken 6 has the biggest rooster so far; 42 fighters to choose from. There are six new characters (two, if you played the arcade version already).
Lars Alexandersson, a high ranked soldier in the Tekken Force, who rebels against Jin.
Alesa Bosconovitch, a robot made in the looks of the deceased daughter of Dr. Bosconovitch.
Miguel Caballero Rojo, a Spanish fighter who seeks revenge on the Mishima Zaibatsu for killing his sister.
Bob, a over weight American martial artist. Despite his weight, Bob stills have a ferocius speed in battle.
Zafina, who enters the tournement in order to prevent the two evil stars from colide (Jin and Kazuya), thus bringing destruction on the world.
Leo, a young fighter seeking revenge on Kazuya.

    Gameplay

From me, the controls feels a bit more lighter than the previous games, and also a lot smoother. New to Tekken, Rage Mode, when the player is at least 10 to 5% of their life bar, the player can inflict more damage than normal. Using items can also be use for advantage, such as Bryan's Gatling Gun or Miguel's Guitar, items that must be purchased using the fight money earned during your fights.

    Music

Excellent music in my case. There is enough to get all pumped up. Listen to good mixes and fightng is one of lifes best combinations.

    Last words...

42 characters to choose from, plus a almost endless customization, in order to give you the chance to create a new original look to your favorite character; the Scenario Mode is probably the less appeling mode in the game, but I enjoy it. And of course the Online Mode and Versus Mode with your friends.
Tekken 6 looks and feels great, a fighting game that shouldn't be pass out. If you are new comer or expert to this genre, this game deserve a place in your gaming library.

Other reviews for Tekken 6 (PlayStation 3)

      From a pretty hard-core Tekken fan 0

I have owned every Tekken game made, except the PSP version of Tekken 5.  It has always been my favorite fighting game series, from its core fighting engine to its zany ending movies.  In Tekken 6 everything that has made past Tekken games great is present, plus a lot more.  Are there problems?  Sure—and the network issues are particularly disappointing—but the overall package is a step above other fighters.        First of all, the core fighting mechanic is as solid as ever.  Tekken is ea...

Late Bird Review: Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion 0

I have been a fan of Tekken since the first game came out. The similar 3D fighting competitor, VirtuaFighter, never really grabbed my attention much and I constantly gravitated toward Tekken whenever I saw it on a home console or in the arcade. My favorite renditions of Tekken (3, 4, and Tag Tournament) make me hopeful that the designers learned from their mistakes in 5 and gave the game a fresh style and gameplay it needed for the jump to the next generation of console gaming.  ...
