The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
After reading the section in the Game Informer preview over the use of the left and right handed use for swords, shields, spells, and any other weapons (excluding two handed weapons of course) I began to think what my first combination will be.
I've always liked playing as a battlemage so I will probably try a mace (or sword or axe) and a fire spell.
I kinda remember there being mentioned a shield bash move so it would be interesting to see if a shield combined with a spell would be effective. Bash em back then blast them with a powerful spell!!
I will go with the standard shield and sword combination, but when the situation calls for magic, I would use twin ice spells to put the freeze on all who dare harm me.
I have no idea... as always I´ll make the dude I feel like playing at the moment, but I must say Im excited to try out every weapon combo I can think of right now.
My first character in these type games I usually try to base off of a Viking theme. As such, dual axes, most likely. Maybe a shield and sword combo. I'll probably generally stay away from magic, however, unless the spells in question are tribalistic in nature, thus remaining true to the theme.
My biggest hope for this game is actually the character customization. If I can make my character the most attractive female Dark Elf in all of Tamriel, I will be happy! Lol. But whatever combo I use, it's gonna have to involve magic of sorts.
I'm going for a mage first, but I have no idea what my main spell combo will be yet. The GI article mentions a fire spell that acts like a flame thrower and if that's in the game I'll be using that for a good while I'm sure.

let's hope that you can actually make good looking characters this time without having to spend 5 hours in the char editor or mod the living shit out of the game :|
