    The Hidden Below(THB) was released in 1994, developed by Soft Enterprises and published by Kingsoft. It holds the distinction of being the first German FPS, and the first FPS to feature looking up and down. Other novelties include the introduction of video cameras, and cutscenes throughout the game to help further the story.

    The game is entirely in German, and was never officially translated into English. However, there is a fansite (TheHiddenBelow.com) which offers English translations of the manuals and videos, as well as other background info about the game.
