    Overview

The Maze of the Kings is a light-gun shooter developed by Crazy Games (in conjunction with Hitmaker) and released by Sega for arcades (using their Dreamcast-based Sega NAOMI hardware) in early 2002.

Set in modern day Egypt, the game follows two adventurers (armed with enchanted rods) as they travel through the haunted Valley of the Kings to seek treasure. The game is known for the cabinet's unique light guns (shaped similar to the rods the protagonists use), its item system (where players choose the power/ammo balance of their weapons and a special trinket), and its procedurally-generated dungeon system (where room structure is randomized for each play).
