I noticed the Tropico franchise is on sale. My laptop can't run the third or fourth installment, so I thought about buying the first two games including an expansion.

It's only €1,74 so it will probably be worth its price, but has anyone played it? Are these games any good?

Only briefly. They seem more complicated than Tropico 3 or 4, so that's either a good or a bad for you. The 2nd one is kinda cool since it's a pirate island sim.

Tropico 4 is on sale right now. It's great fun (unless you played Tropico 3, in which case it's mostly the same game all over again).

@Aas: Yeah, but as I mentioned my laptop can't run those games. Do you know if the first two are any good?

I played the first one when I was a kid and loved that game. I sucked at it (it's a fairly complex sim), but LOVED it.

I haven't played them in ages; not really sure if they've held up. If you're looking for some great games to play on an old laptop, though, might I suggest Heroes of Might and Magic III?
