Wow. Never before was I so not interest in a story in a video game before. But the gameplay may be good, so, yeah.

If you play a Heroes game for the story you're doing it wrong. And Ubi's insistance on focusing on the Heroes story in these trailers is a bit ominous.

Yeah, that actually IS a bit odd. I can't remember the story from any of these games.

Played the beta. This is a very very good game. Pre-ordered and ready to play.

I can't speak for other people, but as a fan person who's played the last 4 games to completion I kind of only care about how they're adjusting the game mechanics and they don't seem interested in showing that at all. Which makes me think they updated the art style to be more "gritty", put a larger focus on HOMM's goofy story, and called it a day. This series doesn't need a new coat of paint, it needs to be rebuilt from the very foundation.

Did you see TotalBiscuit's beta video? They changed A LOT. I really don't know how I feel about what they did, but I'm curious. The series kind of lost me around 4 and I started playing the King's Bounty games instead...

I'm afraid I lost my interest in HoMM after the first game. Played the second,

couldn't get hooked up for third, when a friend got it. I'd love to fall in love

with a turnbased game again, but maybe that time's just over.
