Animal Crossing for 3DS Gets a New Subtitle, New Trailer

is it just me or is this exactly like every other animal crossing game except the whole swimming thing?? hmm...

I'm in the same position, and I'm suddenly really excited about getting back into it.

This has to be also a downloadable title. You don't want to carry a game around to boot it daily for a brief moment...

Animal Crossing and Timesplitters 2 were my two favorite games on the Gamecube, definitely will buy this.

This is pretty much exactly my thoughts. I never quite understood what I felt was missing from the DS and Wii version, but this was it.

Actually kinda excited for this. And I'm always glad to have more reasons to get a 3DS, especially now that my DS Lite has finally bit the dust. Top screen stopped working completely, and it took me a few hours of playing Animal Crossing to finally realize that's the only game I own that's still playable on that device... I'm happy that they dared to add something that seems genuinely new for an Animal Crossing title for once. I always hoped this series would progress much, much quicker than it actually has, but I may be back on board for this one.
 
K.K. Gumbo was always the best song. Glad to see it represented.

Looks like they brought the island back from the gamecube version. About time.

The added control over town stuff as mayor definitely looks neat, and the island could be a cool addition if it isn't too small. But what will actually sell me on this is if they've continued limiting villager interaction like they've done in every game since the Gamecube release. I think I played Animal Crossing for much longer than I should've, simply to do errands for villagers to get to the point where they allowed me to change their little slogans they say when you greet them...

I'm actually pretty stoked for this. I haven't felt the fire for this series since the GameCube game (played the DS one and got bored with it quickly and never touched the Wii one). Looks like there's enough new stuff here to warrant another look.

Man, I thought Animal Crossing was right up my alley. But I've only played the Wii version, and could not at all figure out how to make the game fun for myself. But yet, I still feel like somehow I failed the game.. not the other way around.

This, Luigi's Mansion and Paper Mario will force me to get a 3DS.  I played a metric ton of Animal Crossing: WIld World. It is the perfect game for a portable platform because you can play it for 5 minutes and accomplish a lot. I have the Wii version but haven't played it very much.

I am down for the next portable version of Animal Crossing. Can't wait, gotta get them squirrels in my town.

If I could once in a while turn on Animal Crossing and have it be more like Hotline Miami, I'd be more relaxed.
