Uh, ok.

Posted by Hailinel

Two teams working on two Assassin's Creed games, and between them, their tortuous struggles to animate female characters. Oh, the agony they must all be in, straining to do something other game developers a fraction of their size could accomplish with ease.

Edited by cloudyimpulse

Milkin this series till it's dry. I stopped playing after Brotherhood.

Edited by AssInAss

Well, ok then.

Just when I was getting optimistic about the gaming landscape again.

Edited by Atwa

Strangely enough I am more looking forward to this than Unity. I could go for another game with the ship stuff from AC IV, as opposed to the more regular structure of AC games that Unity seems to go for. Which I am completely worn out on.

When "Assassin's Creed Rogue" sounds like it's been copy and pasted together from different soundbites, you know how hard they're trying to annualize this.

Wow. Exclusive DLC is mentioned in the first announcement trailer, before any gameplay footage is out? That is just depressing.

Posted by onarum

because annualizing wasn't enough...

But what if they don't want female lead characters in those two games?

I'm tired guys

I can't be the only one that thinks the main character sounds like Danny O'Dwyer doing his best batman impersonation.

Already like this guy more than the Unity guy.

Posted by Hailinel

@toshi0815: Then saying female characters aren't playable because they're difficult to animate is still a stupid thing to say.

That accent is real bad

That's not allowed. Full inclusion or zero tolerance. There is no room for creative freedom in these dire times of equality.

I'd be more into Assassin's Creed: Roguelike.

Wait. Where is this supposed to take place? I thought he looked like a samurai. o_0

You're not alone, duder.

Posted by Familyguy1

Sweet. Count me in! I'll probably pick up this game and Unity down the road in December on PC.

Posted by LoktarOgar

Danny O'D as a medieval assassin dude. I'm into it.

Posted by Slayeric

So, wait... what? What the fuck is this franchises story anymore? Is that AC3 dude he's shooting in the head?

Posted by AlexanderSheen

The only dude who was able to get away with having a pony tail was Jetstream Sam. Sadly, this guy is not him.

Pony tails should be outlawed!

Yay for finally having an Irish entry into the series. That's about all my yays.

Posted by SlashDance

That turned into Ubisoft hate rather quickly.

Posted by TournamentOfHate

How can anybody watch a 2 minute cutscene and not only want to pay full price for a game, but also pre-order it to get EXCLUSIVE PRE-ORDER CONTENT?! Let's actually try to make Ubisoft impress us.

Posted by Sunless

Was that accent supposed to be.... Irish??

Edited by cloudymusic

A last-gen exclusive AC game? Sounds like the formula for a winner.

Posted by iceman228433

dammit this is the AC I want not that next gen one, sigh good thing I still have a ps3.

Posted by Szlifier

Nevermind the voice acting. That movie trailer guy sounded way worse, actually.

Posted by Cybexx

I love how when the narrator says the title that "Assassin's Creed" and "Rogue" were obviously from different takes.

I kinda wish this also took place during the french revolution and you played as Elise, the templar from last weeks Assassin's Creed Unity trailer. But making another game with the Black Flag tech makes business sense.

The rumour about you playing one of Edward Kenway's sons was wrong, you play as Shay Patrick Cormac in 1751, which would place it right before the opening to AC3. Cormac apparently starts as an Assassin and then becomes an Assassin Hunter. You can bet you'll run into Haytham Kenway.

It would make sense for them to release a PC version of this as well.

Posted by LarryDavis

It's also just AC4 again. ENJOY!

Posted by MEATBALL

Welp, I'll probably wind up buying two Assassin's Creed games this year, because I am a sucker for this series. *dodges tomatoes*

Posted by Palaeomerus

It's the 1700's. Why the hell am I carrying a damned 1400's archer's arming sword? Just throw that away. What was I thinking? Get me a sawed off musket by gum. Kill this dude in on this ice flow. Bescause ABSTERGO!

Edited by Anim8td_fan

hmm....a new Assassin's Creed game but for last gen consoles? hmm

Posted by EmeraldGFX

I feel burnt out on the series after slogging through one instalment a year, let alone two. Calling an early favourite on the 2014 "PLEASE STOP" award for Assassins Creed.

If that's what this game turns out to be, I am SO in.

Posted by GalacticPunt

" Ubisoft proudly presents the Next Assassin's Creed... For Poor People."

I don't have a next-gen console either.

Posted by petethepanda

...Hey, sure, why not.

Even after AC3 unceremoniously threw the series' narrative out the window (which I guess you kinda have to do if you're going to run an endless franchise like this) I still find playing through these games to be pretty satisfying. Ass Flag was a blast, Ass Unity looks like a return to the large-cities-with-tall-buildings feel that I loved in the series at first, and if this one is like another Ass Flag, sailing was a blast so I'm sure it'll still be at least relatively fun.

Posted by TheAcidSkull

Soon, AC will become a monthly game.

100%. It's in the bag.

Edited by QKT

might as well call this game Boat Creed now.

Posted by spilledmilkfactory

Just want to point out this is the THIRD Assassin's Creed game to come to consoles this year. Yet somehow, even after that pretty bad trailer and with no gameplay, it still looks more interesting to me than Unity. At least it seems like there are ships in this one.
