I want to believe

Good trailers coming out for this game.

Edited by Bourbon_Warrior

SO MUCH MARKETING! SO MANY SPOILERS!

Edited by dr_mantas

Can't... not... watch...

Edit: OK, watched it. I hope, like, there's a whole second act or something, to this game, that's entirely unlike all this stuff shown in the trailers.

So many trailers, I feel like I already played this game

Posted by fatalbanana

have to resist trailers... I want to go in totally clean... but must see, must see!

but yeah man they are marketing the shit out of this game.

Fuccckkkk I want to play this game

lol... don't watch them then.

you don't have to watch them.

I hope this doesn't fall apart after the halfway point like BioShock did.

Elizabeth looks a lot better now that she's wearing clothes

Posted by mrfluke

so much material, and yet the game isnt out till the end of march.

hope they have more to show, otherwise they should really have kept this stuff till next month

Very nice, a very cinematic trailer

The buildup to this is just way too much. Letdown incoming

I actually feel weirdly disappointed when the trailer goes into full-on first person shooter gun-em-down mode, even though it looks outstanding. I think its because the "magic" of this game and its predecessor wasn't really in its combat, but rather its setting and themes.

Again, I'm not saying the combat is bad--it looks excellent. I think its sort of the Uncharted/Nathan Drake effect of having this developed character going through beautiful environments and literally murdering hundreds of people. It's a weird dissonance.

Really looking forward to this though.

I quite like the redesigned outfit for Elizabeth. That actually looks like something a human being would wear.

Did they change whatsherfaces outfit?

Yes and good on them, it looks great.

March is gonna be a big month for games.

Elizabeth certainly has better clothes now, but somehow her face looks more like a doll than human now. Her eyes are too big.

Goddamnit, every time Booker gets angry (which I'm going to assume happens often) I'm only going to be able to hear Kanji Tatsumi. Having the same problem with Jake in Resident Evil 6.

Get bent, Troy Baker!

When this comes out, I imagine a lot of people are going to be enormously disappointed and upset, because it doesn't reach the astronomically high ideas they'd set for it.

So I'm counting on it being alright, that way I can be pleasantly surprised if it's actually pretty cool.

DONT' DISAPPOINT US. HO HO HO HO

Posted by Kowalo

@Colourful_Hippie: She changes her outfit at some point in the story, the old one is still in the game.

Posted by Alphazero

Amazing. You never know until you know, but the story revealed so far is hitting even more of my buttons than the first Bioshock. Love it.

Managing expectations is a very simple thing to do, but I imagine there will be hordes of ragers when this game doesn't get them laid, do their taxes, and dig up their grandfather to get at his gold teeth.

I think this game will:

  • Look amazing
  • Have a great story and characters
  • Build a great atmosphere
  • Have average combat (That's what I felt the combat was like in BIOSHOCK 1 + 2)

And that's all I am expecting. Anything else is a bonus.

Holy shit I only just noticed. Damn you! I wont be able to stop hearing that now.

Get bent indeed!

I don't know. It seems really far fetched that people would try to create some sort of ultra-american utopia. No one could be that silly in real life.

Is that so? I guess you haven't been watching the news. Glenn Beck is also planning his own compound.

EDIT: I guess I should have clicked your link first. The Citadel sounds crazier than Beck's idea though.

"ONE NATION OVER GOD"

Brilliant.

If anything, this trailer made me more interested in the game's story. Who wants Elizabeth? And who, or what, is she? Why can she create these rips in time? There's plenty here to be excited about, and plenty left to see.

No cleavage no sale

I'm not interested in this game anymore

I still think giant text in trailers is dumb, it's an incredibly lazy and inelegant way of trying to convey information about the thing you've made. The game looks excellent though, I especially liked the little 1984 nod.

I know I've turned the corner on the hype for Bioshock Infinite. I'm pretty much done with poignant trailers and soulful Elizabeth expressions.

Don't think I like her redesign, either. They made her less sexy, which I'm sure has some folks pleased, but they also made her more plain. She looks like she could be a background crowd NPC.

Posted by gamefreak9

I don't think they will stand tall next to Andrew Ryan but it looks good anyway.

Looks so good. 2 more months.

This character is a former Pinkerton agent. He was throen out. You'd have to do some messed up stuff to get thrown out of the Pinkerton agency. I don't really see it as a disconnect.

Watched twice, watched frame by frame, watched again.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it.

Same for me. Which inevitably leads to me thinking about the endurance run and Jeff and Vinny's impressions of Kanji.

Yeah. Plus the first Bioshock was pretty good about addressing video game conventions like that, so I'm sure it'll--or something like it--will be touched on.

Highest rated shooter of all time? Bioshock was not a good shooter, if that is all it had then it wouldn't have been a good game. Half-Life is the greatest shooter of all time, maybe until Infinite, who knows, I just don't like that claim about Bioshock. I mean the story wasn't even good, the setting was, the story however was a System Shock 2 rip off.
