I have an idea on how this game will end, and it makes me sad :(

This may be the most adorable game ever.

The game is cute, but my brain couldn't handle seeing a single strand of yarn being used as bridge for a significantly wider object (the fender).

How was that flotation device balancing on a single string in midair? THIS GAME IS BULLSHIT.

This is Braid level delight. Xbox One has needed this since launch. I hope this makes some kind of whimsy game of the year category win.

It seems like so much thought and passion has gone into this game..and then they ran out and just named him Yarny. It makes me uncomfortable to hear that name because it is so stupid and lazy.

Man, I'm really happy they're going for some traditional Swedish folk music. I think this captures my childhood memories of visiting my relatives in Sollefteå in northern Sweden.

This music is tickling my Braid bone. Hope this game gets a good reception in the end.

Between this and the FFXV trailer I wonder if Alex can get any more hyperbolic in his descriptions. I seriously doubt it.

@014: I actually think the developer might have said at E3 his kids named it..but I might totally be misremembering. Either way it's a dumb name. It doesn't even represent the cool non sequitur creativity that children have; it represents the dumb ideas kids have.

I do think the game looks fun; I just think the name is an abomination that needs to be taken out back and shot, and the person who came up with it should be ran out of town by an angry mob brandishing weapons made of yarn. Not really, but you get my point.

He was called Yarny before the game was in development and was just the creator's little puppet which it took pictures of. I believe.

yep, thats a puzzle platformer alright. ya know what would've made it interesting? if, as you traverse the level and unravel, you get smaller. and as you get smaller, you have to explore the environment differently. like inverted katamari damacy. you could do things like have the player double back to an area they'd already been through but are now smaller, so its different. or 'gates' that you can only get through if you're a certain size, so you have to puzzle out a way to waste some of your yarn and shrink down.

The reall question on everyones mind is: When Yarny tryes to jump over a cliff but the yarn is not long enough, will he hang himself?

The overly sappy presentation in this and the E3 reveal have kinda turned me off to what looks like a beautiful and, possibly, fun game.
