Double is crazy. I wonder if that shooter clip is from a hidden mini-game or something. But on the UltrachenTV stream last night Mike Z described Double's one super move where she turns into the Moai head as "like a galaga boss". So maybe that was a hint.

I am staying up all night until I see this on Xbox Live.

The more I see of this, the more it reminds me of the second and third tier fighting games we got back in the 16 and 32 bit era.

Man, this game is visually/aesthetically more and more repulsive to me every time I see it. I'm really curious to see if it succeeds.

Man, it is looking SO GOOD. I'm not much of a fighter fan, but the training mode they have in place kinda makes me wanna give it a shot.

I don't know if i'm keen on this new age of super sharp 2D visuals... makes everything look like a Flash game

That made me want to play Gradius.

I kinda want this, but I can't justify it to myself when Marvel vs Capcom 3 has just been sitting there with me barely having scratched it's surface...

My opinion on this game is the same as the Devil May Cry reboot. I don't have much of a history with Skullgirl's genre or DMC's series, but I am totally fine with both. Hell, the idea of actually getting good at a fighting game might tempt me into buying Skullgirls. I've never been one to get up in arms about art style, so I guess that helps.

im pretty sure the devs said it either IS coming to PC or will be ported if it sells enough. I cant remember where i read that though.

There is a PC version because it was made on a PC and all, but it is kind of a skeleton version and won't be put out until later I guess.

Look - I'm a pretty big fan of real technical fighters of which this is shaping up to be a good one, but goddamn that american-anime art style is awful

I'm surprised at how many dislike the art style, I think it's awesome. The game is really fun too, played it some last night when it was released on PSN (late as all hell in my european hours).

Looks good! Would it be asking too much if I were to ask for a pixel-by-pixel art-movement thingie for their fighting moves? I remember reducing the game speed for fighting games I played on emulators on the PC just to revel at the movement art in SF and KoF series.

I heard some time around august.

So this is what it feels like to be old and confused by video games.

I need to call my parents and tell them I now understand.

I'm still not sure if I want this. I'll have to check out the demo and see how it plays.

I had to check the wiki article for the character because I had no idea what was going on in the video and couldn't see a nun in any of the gameplay. Too bad, not enough games let you fight anime girls as a nun.

The major selling point is you can turn into a Easter Island head that shoots rings out of it's mouth.
