E3 2012: From the Minds Behind Magicka Comes The Showdown Effect

From the minds of Magicka... Fuzzy TV screens!

This is not really what I would have expected from the guys who made Magicka. Kinda looks a bit pants to be honest, aside from the streaming gimmick.

I don't get it

Interesting to have streaming be such an integrated part of the game. But I guess it really only matters if the game is fun to watch. It's from the people that made Magicka, so obviously it's going to be odd.

Marino is posting videos now? Cool.

I really don't want online fame. I just was cool games. Magicka was fantastic, but this looks passable.

So.. Soldat with integrated streaming?

"Smash Bros. with guns" has been done before. Crash Commando, Project Exonaut, Big Head Bash...heck, one of the FIRST Xbox Live Arcade Games did it back at the 360 launch (the unfortunately forgotten, "Small Arms"). And luckily for us, they're ALWAYS super fun:)

Looking forward to this. Wish it was for consoles though. At the very least, Arrowhead, make sure this thing works well with Xbox pads on the PC.

we used to make good games but then we took an arrow to the head!

looks alright though just not what i wanted from arrowhead.

Integrated streaming isn't really a good selling point to me.
