Signed up for the beta, want to give it a test run before I decide to buy it. I played well over a dozen hours of Gwent in the Witcher. I am looking forward to this and hopefully it makes its way to mobile devices.

Definitely. If it just plays the same as the Witcher 3 version, I don't see this holding up too well as a standalone.

Like I've mentioned on stream, hopefully they have significantly reworked the game. Because as a side thing in W3 it was totally fine, but at the same time it's hugely unbalanced and easy to break and with no real incentive to play lower tier cards. So if they want to make it in any way playable in multiplayer, Gwent needs some serious rebalancing as a minimum.

It's also just real simple and bare bones, think several orders of magnitude simpler then Heartstone. Again, fine and fun as an occasional diversion in a bigger game, but it won't last more then 1 or 2 consecutive hours as standalone product, the way it is currently implemented in W3. So ye I hope they flesh it out. Otherwise the only way I can see it being released is as a free doodad for funzies.

Can't get enough gwent. Like the look of this.

If they put this on android and ios I bet it would do well.

I think this looks pretty cool but if I have to sit down at a PC or console and play it, I'd rather play actual Witcher 3. When I asked for standalone Gwent, I meant "on my phone".

I'll probably play this anyway, just not anywhere near as much as I would if I could just whip out my phone and play a match during my work break or something.

I loved Gwent but sweet jesus do we need more card games? Elder Scrolls, Gwent, Hearthstone, and those are just the big ones. I think we might have to put CCG's on the "Please stop" for GOTY

I don't think those are comparable. Gwent already exists and is insane popular. Hell there is a mod that straight up changes the combo of The Witcher 3 into Gwent matches. People have been asking for this ever since Witcher 3 came out.
