Yay, this went up quick! I had to go halfway through so now I can catch up~

Edited by TheManWithNoPlan

All right, it's up! Missed it live, so thanks @drewbert for getting it up so fast.

Posted by CaptainKoonz

Damn! Almost first. But Yay for old games!

Posted by Nightriff

Was this very entertaining?

Posted by me3639

Personally, while this is alright, i would have preferred another hr of game play from Brad playing Bloodborne and Rorie trying to discuss more of Pillars. I know im in the minority, but the old games ql is kind of tired.

YO SON TELL ME ABOUT THOSE OLD GAMES, MAYBE EVEN VIDEOS OF EVERY GAME IN AN ENCYCLOPEDIC FORMAT

Edited by Ben_H

I really liked this. I find this stuff way more interesting than most new games. I would way rather have this over additional coverage of the same new games over and over.

Plus it seems like they're pumped to be able to play old games regularly, so that's a bonus too. Hearing them list off tons of games they want to play on here makes me think they've wanted to do this for a while now.

This is great. I could watch Jeff play old games all day. Between this, Demo Derby and Metal Gear Scanlon, old-ass games are providing a lot more entertainment than most new releases these days.

Edited by funwithphobias

Its been like 6 years and I'm still basically watching Game Room.

NOTHING STOPS THE GAME ROOM QUICKLOOK!

@me3639: the thought of my souls related content on this site is making me dizzy, too much of a good thing

Posted by ghostyTrickster

Hope this is more than a random one off show!

Posted by Dangerloves

WELL IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Posted by vegetashonor

@yesiamaduck: I want to watch Vinny play through Bloodborn. A guy can dream can't he?

Posted by ZironZ

I could listen to bumpin' genesis soundtracks all day.

THAT IS MADNESS, NO ONE WOULD WATCH THESE "VIDEO THINGS".

Posted by BrandNameCommercial

Yeah, totally dig old game coverage like this. Great hearing the interesting talk that comes out, it's not something I see everywhere else.

Posted by SweetValidation

Loving this so far.

Brad, if you get any more grey you'll be a dead ringer for Dr. Light. :P

I just watched an actual 'Video Thing' they did a few hours ago.

it was the one about Ryan ;_;

I live about thirty minutes from Giant Bomb and I wish to go on record and say that I have seen pickled pigs feet at my local Safeway as well as Lucky's and that it is a regularly stocked item.

I'm glad you guys skipped class today, we're having fun aren't we?

Posted by Tagyhag

They're going to make this into a regular series? Fuck yeah!

Holy Diver is pretty awesome.

ZANY GOLF!!!! Me from 1998 is so proud of my choice in video games sites.

Amstrad XT with 52kb of RAM ran that bad boy off of 5.25" disks.

Thank you.

As one of those people for whom sniffling is like nails on a chalkboard, you're killin' me, Brad! Gyaaaaah-hah, that sound!

Glad there's another venue for old games since Bombastica is so rare. I still believe in Operation: Quick Look Everything.

Posted by davidh219

Wait, wait, wait. This is going to be a regular feature? For real?

YESSSSSS.

One of my favorite things is watching Jeff play super old games I've never heard of and sharing his knowledge and love for them. I've always thought it a shame that Game Room ended, that there was only the one multi-man encyclopedia bombastica, and that Jeff didn't play games like this on UPF more often. This is right up my alley.

It would be a perfect 100% experience if they could add either Dan or Drew to the couch for future episodes.

Yes! Bring on more TOGS!

Suppose I'm weird but I'm often bored by their old games coverage unless the conversation is good, I guess I'm not cool (or maybe hipster) enough to still care about most dated simplistic games, outside of the occasional interesting history lesson from Jeff.

Luckily the conversation was good enough this time to keep me watching, Jeff is always good, Brad was thankfully 99% awake and alert this time (he's so much more entertaining when he has energy) and Rorie always has interesting, weird stuff to say.

Brad in default pose, already good sign :D

Posted by CitizenCoffeeCake

So fucking glad this is going to be a regular thing.

Edited by escoe88

Man, Brad's really going for that Kenny Rogers look as of recent.

Posted by Pudge

You'd think something like this would be premium and something like UPF would be free considering that they play mostly newer games on UPF, so that would have a wider audience. Then again, if this is going to be an hour long every week, it would be better for the longer show to be premium.

Either way all for more content, and all for a TNT successor. Looking forward to the next show!

Edited by poobumbutt

I am totally cool with this being a regular/semi regular thing. Jeff talking about old game history is awesome. Also, the Low G Man backstory made me laugh. "Planets filled with robots made to create more robots" is the best sentence.

I had to make sure I wasn't just looking back on it with rose-tinted glasses so I dug up my old 500 from the attic and played some Turrican 2 today. That game is still pretty rad, Jeff. Hope you guys will be able to fit a few minutes of it on one of these shows sometime!

Posted by Rhombus_Of_Terror

@davidh219: I'm guessing yes since the video title has a date. This is a good idea for a Thursday stream.

I stumbled across the Minerva's Den/Game Room psyche-out the other day. It made me very happy.

Posted by caboose413

why is Jeff sad?

Edited by Bunnellius

Oh man, burger-golf is a bad nostalgia-trip for me. Played a lot of that back then. I have no idea why.

Hm. That pinball level music does make me feel oddly sentimental though. :(

Final Fantasy IX had my favorite ending out of all the ones I've beaten I loved that game.

Fuck Yeah! I'm so fucking hype right now; I love this type of content.

@jamesensor: Do you remember what the episode was called?

Edited by DeathByWaffle

If someone could photoshop Brad as an Animorph halfway to his true form as a guinea pig, that'd be great.

Posted by BeachThunder

Really bummed that I missed this.

Posted by DekuShrub

@jamesensor: Jeff's strained cry as he is told to evacuate while playing Jackal is maybe my top Giantbomb moment.

Posted by DekuShrub

@kango234: http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/quick-look-game-room-for-091510/2300-3229/

that's the episode you're looking for.

@jeff, watching you play old games is one of my favorite things about this site. Can't wait to see more of these!
