Excited about this! Not really

Evil Strikes!

Posted by Deathmachine117

Id rather keep my money for Skyrim a few weeks later.

Posted by KuribosShoe

pretty cool game, but I think it's gonna get lost in the holiday shuffle.

Posted by Creamypies

Could be decent!

Posted by Tordah

This looks like it could be surprisingly good. We'll see.

Posted by Aronleon

Well I'm interested now.

Posted by crusader8463

Shame no one's going to buy this. It looks really good.

That's because they are idiots. I've been waiting for a new action rpg from Snowblind since Champions: Return To Arms.

Super excited for this one. Day one buy.

This game is like a good 5 years too late. Shall see how good it is though.

Exactly this.

Might check this out, it looks better than people give it credit for.

WTF...did the elves in LOTR had magic shields?

Posted by WorldDude

I'm pretty excited about this, actually! I've been dying for a good co-op action RPG for a while now.

Posted by KillyDarko

I think this game might be a surprise hit. Or at least a surprisingly good game.

Watching that trailer just made me want to play dragon age again.

It doesn't really feel like Lord of the Rings to me, but that really doesn't mean it won't be a good game.  Unfortunately/fortunately I have too many games to play as it is.

Are you kidding they threw everything Lord of the Rings'esq at you in the trailer dwarves, elves, humans, dragons, giant eagles, goblins, giant spiders, etc. This feels more like the novels than the movies. Also, I agree; I won't be playing this.

Instead of picking a release date that looks cool at the end of a trailer, they should've picked one that won't get their game buried.

Nearly every fantasy game has the majority of those creatures, but except for extremely rare situations, I don't remember people in LOTR using magic like they were in this trailer.  That doesn't make it a bad game, but it suddenly seemed less like LOTR and more like other fantasy RPGs.  No biggie.

Reading 'The King in the North' at first glance. End up being disappointed that it's 'Lord of the Rings' and not 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

Would one of the 3 major Western publishers please pick up the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' license and produce some big budget AAA games based upon it?

I'd love to play games in a prequel-universe set before or just at the Valyrian empire's doom. Kind of like what KotOR is to Star Wars. Major nerdgasm.

November? This game is going to get slaughtered, even if turns out to be half-decent. It may at least catch up during early 2012, once people can actually breath again after all the huge swarm of releases in the October-November bracket.
The game itself looks completely generic, right down to the character classes; dwarven warrior, human rogue and an elven mage? If anything it's almost like a throw-back to the original three characters from Snowblind's Dark Alliance, but that don't make it any less cliched.

Ah well, because of it's dire predictability, that makes it easy to determine whether you'd want to play through it or not; if I begin to crave some by-the-numbers hack n slash fantasy, I'll give it a look.

Looks like good dumb Golden Axey fun. Could be alright, but it seems like one of those games which might do better at ~$40, especially at this time of year.

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTTAAAAAAAAAAAASAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY MOTHERFUCKERS

I've been planning on getting it used to play co-op. Why used? Well, if I don't buy games used, I buy them on sale. The only games I pay full price for are the ones you're forced to, like Starcraft II. But even then, I sold games or used a gift card or something like that to only pay like $18 for it.

It's funny cause the first thing I thought upon seeing this was "Oh, look! The Golden Axe game we SHOULD'VE gotten!"

Posted by wewantsthering

It looks terrible, but I know I'm going to buy it to play coop with my brothers.

Posted by Enigma777

I'd totally get this game on launch if it didn't come out on the same fucking day as Uncharted 3!

Posted by SolongWrex

Judging by the chorus these guys aren't fucking around. If this game turns out to be anything like 2004's Demon Stone, I'll probably like it.

Posted by SolDragonblade

Ah...I shouldn't play this but gotta love a hack 'n' slash.

And everyone is a Wizard these days...

Posted by bybeach

I'm not in anyways interested in this game9these kinds of games), but the dragon at the end impresses me. this may be a good version of the whole Elf/man/dwarf combo system even I know about.

Posted by spilledmilkfactory

I like Snowblind, but seriously? They're releasing this on the same day as Uncharted 3, which is my most anticipated game of, well, ever. Not to mention Skyrim coming out a few weeks after

Why did you skip Justice League Heroes? It wasn't as good as Marvel Ultimate Alliance but it WAS decent enough to deserve a playthrough.

Posted by twi

Day one buy! I hope they do a TNT with this, be awesome to get some challenge map action on with the GB crew!

Posted by Tober

Just pre-ordered this a few days ago... i kinda sorta want this... for some reason. Why i pre-ordered i dunno.

Posted by jakob187

Developed by Snowblind.

Automatically SOLD!

Posted by Niksis

I might rent this, but keeping my money for Skyrim.

Posted by TheSouthernDandy

I was sold as soon as I saw the eagle. It's a shame this is probably gonna get buried by the other heavy hitters coming out.

Posted by MeatSim

This game would have been better of coming out in the spring or summer and not around the same time as Skyrim.

Posted by Kaspar

@internal_dialogue: What is it with the undying cynicism I keep seeing in the comments section of GiantBomb?

Posted by Veektarius

Shoulda mixed it up. Dwarven mage, elven warrior, human archer.

Posted by Otzlowe

Color me interested. This game actually looks pretty neat.
