@TwoOneFive: She was purely interested because she really likes Michael Jackson's music and thought this would be a fun way to motivate herself to stay in shape. I totally get her motivation, but this game's choreography just won't get her there.

@ImBigInJapan: I don't really know about the choreography, but I was thinking more about the UI and generic background graphics. I mean, obviously you want to be able to see the dancers dance, but compare this to this.

I don't believe it would be a strain to declare this game an obvious cash-grab. They could have named it "Michael Jackson's Ultimate Reading The Phone Book" and they would still have sold as many copies as this dreck likely will.

Given Rhythm games to some extent live and die by their songs choices, I don't think this game can be all that awful so long as it sticks mostly to songs from Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad. Has anyone here played Just Dance 2 yet? I have and it is actually pretty good. As this is the same developers, likely built on the same mechanics and is essentially "Just Dance: Michael Jackson" I don't see a reason to be negative about it. Of course it is a cash in like any other licensed game, but if it is competently well done then I don't have a problem with it.
