I love FFXI and I really shouldn't have just watched this trailer since I have been thinking of going back to it, but with FFXIV on the way I find it hard to get too excited about anything FFXI related.

Strangely the best mmo I ever played.

Here I was thinking Shantotto was just some character they made up to put in Dissidia.

I'm kinda surprised that this game is still going strong but then again, I guess it is big enough to warrant a sequel. Does it still have like 48 hour long boss fights?

The camera in FFXI really turned me off. It would sway and swing like a boat as you ran around the world. When you were in combat, it would lock in place, and almost invariably another mob would come up and nail you from behind and you couldn't see it. Very frustrating.

So basically FF version Gnomes?

I think that they have a lot of people playing this, in Japan anyway.  Powerful brand name.  Imagine if FF14 is more casual - they will be in the cash.

Ahhh man. You fucking nailed it. I really wanted to be a Galka in the game, but the camera made it impossible. When you were in battle, you couldn't see half of the fucking screen. "

If you can't read that and understand what I meen then I feel sorry for you, I know I'm not a great writer or anything close but what I meant was Wow = ADD mmo for people who want instant gratification, FFXI = Time consuming and technically a ton harder then Wow, with a sense of accomplishment. "
