Cool! This game looks really, really interesting. I'm a bit worried about feeling rushed (in the sections where it falls away behind you - maybe it's only based on your own movement?), but it looks fun.

Also, the narrators voice just reminded me of Ryan's ska-funk band.

This is an indie game? Man, they've come a long way. Amazing what a stylized look and a good voice actor will do for your marketing I suppose. Looks great and really interesting. Wish they showed the hammer upgrades, but maybe that's for another video.

Definitely something else. The constant narration is a nice touch.

Posted by skudfisher

The the narration part of the actual game or just for the trailer? Interesting...

Posted by Kolonel_Kool

I hope this voice is in the game!

Posted by D0RC

Amazing.  I want it.

There's just something inherently engaging about the way the game's story is presented in real time by disembodied narration.

Posted by reddin

Looks quite good.
Seems like a really interesting way to lay out the story. Hope that goes on during the entire game.

Neat! Combat looks decent and the narration is interesting.

I am writing this in that voice. It's stuck in my head. I can't get it out. Now you notice that you're reading this in that voice to... you'll thank me later.

Certainly not a generic Action/RPG.

Posted by ThePilgrums

"Oooooooh man. It's a gas fella."

The voice-over is AWESOME.
Posted by commandercup

Looks pretty slick, but I don't see what makes it interesting?

Never be not talking.

Posted by Lazyaza

Looks awesome, loves me some Diablo-ish isometric gaming.

I imagine the vo might get a tad annoying after a while though, still seems like the sort of thing that would only be active in specific areas.

Nice voice and nice looking game.

Posted by Robitt

Looks very interesting.

Posted by geirr

Not sure why exactly but the art style reminded me of Breath of Fire 4.

Posted by outerabiz

sounds like it was written for sam jackson

Gas fellas ain't your friend.

Posted by ComradeKhan

Awesome. That voice over better be in the real game, that would be great, giving you the play-by-play of everything your doing... "War never changes"...

Posted by Eribuster

Reminds me of Ys.

Posted by PenguinDust

Looks good, but I'm still not sure I'd choose it over Torchlight 2 so far.  I think I'll need to see a lot more that's different besides some narration.

Posted by Lobst

The narration is great! Hope it doesn't shut out a female character option, but it's understandable if so.

The dude abides

Posted by cap123

cool style, not sold on the gameplay though.

If it's a kid, why's his voice so deep? I mean the noise he makes when he hits stuff.

Posted by alexhigh

Sounds a bit like Morgan Freeman to me

Posted by TekZero

Damn.  I want this.

I have the same question, is the voice part of the game? If so thats awesome.

edit: im also way happy that it looks actually challenging.

Posted by enemymouse

This is a great way to tell a story in a game.

Narration while you play the game is a great idea.

Posted by gbrading

So this is what Greg Kasavin is doing.

That is some good voice work, and I'm assuming that's actually part of the game. If it is, that's neat, and a way for a smaller game to get around the issue of having to hire a bunch of voice actors to play different parts. I definitely like that little touch, it's something I never would have thought of.

As for the game play, my closest reference point is DeathSpank, a game which I liked. It's definitely got that style of game play, so I am officially excited for this.

With the music in the backround. The narration sounds like some sort of jazz poetry. I like it, seams kinda wierd at some points "a gun drops" while its right there in front of you, but it's interesting.

However I do hope that the entire game isnt narrarated like that  all the way through. As playing a 8hour+ game could potentially get annoying unless its put into key places of narrative. Even still I love the way it presents itself. A mix of Trine/ Fallout but with a smooth voice.

Music is sounding awesome, its got a smooth jazzy/ arabian beat to it. As well as the animation and look of it just pours out Legand of Mana.

This game is looking absolutly stunning. This is one reason why I love indie stuff, because of games like this.

This looks phenomenal. I really love the jazzy tune and the narration in the background. Will definitely keep my eye on this one.

Posted by OneKillWonder_

This looks way more interesting than I thought it would. I'll be keeping an eye out for Bastion now. And I hate to just reiterate what everyone else has said so far, but the narration during the game IS really awesome. That has to be part of the full game, for sure.

Posted by wenchwogg

Never even heard of this game - now I'm very interested.

Posted by drumpsycho89

wait im confused!! lol is the comentry just for the trailer or is that the actual game!!! lol

Posted by Tesla

Very cool.  I can't believe narration over gameplay has never been done before.  Unless it has been done...regardless that really goes a long way in making this game interesting.

Posted by Rapid

Do we get the narrator when we play?

Posted by Piranesi

Could get a little tedious over the length of a full game but a great way to avoid those annoying JRPG conversation bubbles and to add some subtext to the story (e.g. why is the shiny object there, who does it belong to and why is that important to the character / story).

It would be fun if after an a hour or so you play from a different character's perspective and the voiceover changed to reflect that with an alternate motivation. You would then get a situation where the two team up and the voiceovers start talking to each other.

After Disgaea blew the doors off this type of game, it would be good to see some new ideas.
Posted by Seeric

The narration is an interesting touch, but hopefully it has a lot of variety or at least 'knows' when to shut up. I can see it getting really annoying and actually hurting the immersion if it says the same 2-3 different lines whenever the player does something basic like healing or backtracks to a previous room.

Posted by Dain22

Narrator sounds a lot like Robbie Robertson to me... that's a good thing.

Posted by squidracerX

hope that voice is in the final game! i somehow doubt it will be...

Posted by pickassoreborn

Looks lovely.

Posted by AURON570

For the first 30 seconds or so I thought the whole thing was scripted, but then I realized the narrator was actually reacting to what the player was doing =o, which seems pretty damn awesome.
