Gears of War 3 "Dust to Dust" Trailer

If only the actual games could capture the kind of emotion and "brotherhood" this trailer is trying to convey. You have fooled me once on gears of war epic, I will never allow it again.

Solid trailer. Kinda sad that the franchise that allowed my childhood best friend and I to reconnect through our 360's is coming to an end, but I suppose there's an end to all things.

If this type of trailer gets you excited you are the worst person to ever live in the history of the universe and if I had a time machine I would kill your grandparents.

The nostalgia from the "Mad World" trailer for Gears is hitting me pretty hard.

Did nothing for me actually :/  
 
Very surprised by the responses people have had here.

Was the beginning of this a brief homage of the first two games?  Marcus is clearly in the full armor from the first games and the second scene appears to be them sinking Jacinto(sp?).

Not as good as the other two. This one started off with lots of shit already happening, instead of having any kind of build-up, so it ends up feeling less impactful.

Easily my most anticipated game of 2011. These trailers are great and unlike Dead Island the end product will kick ass

Continuing in the tradition of hauntingly beautiful Gears trailers. This does balance out the Bodycount Horde trailer.

Love how the time-lapse not only affects the environment but the Gears too, seemingly throughout the entirety of the series. Marcus transitions from fully body armor to having a the armor without sleeves, and Dom progressively becomes more of a mess. First seen almost clean-shaven as in the first game, then with his beard, and finally by the helicopter with full-blown scruff. Great stuff.

Son of a bitch. Just months ago I was listening to this song and wondering when it would turn up in a game trailer. 

Didn't really fit *this* trailer, mostly because of all the action cuts... looked like they wanted Heart of Courage but didn't want to copy ME2 :P.

I love the subtle-ness to this trailer and how it acts as a sort of timeline starting with the first gears story and ending with this.

This is not a planet of peace and love.

Not nearly melodramatic/wrist-slashy enough. Where's my Gary Jules? Where's the meathead looking at a flower through a sniper scope?

Am disappoint.

Wasn't going to get it in the first place since I don't own a 360. It just sucks, for me though, that anytime I see a trailer or commercial I know how it ends :P It's really more of a funny problem than anything.

This is not a planet of peace and love.

It's not just that the music is slow (great song). It's that there's too much of a disconnect with the visuals and audio. I love the Mad World GeOW trailer. But that was *considerably* slower in terms of what was going on on-screen. 

Here we have rapid camera movement and a lot of action happening all in real-time. Awesome to watch, but didn't *sync* with the dulcet tones of Mazzy Star. The visuals were action action action, then nice moment at the end. I'll always love Into Dust, after hearing it on the Virgin Mobile commercial some years back, but that is a song that has maybe one crescendo. I watched this trailer again on mute, and immediately thought something like the "Deliver Hope" Halo Reach trailer music would have fit better with enough rise and fall, finishing with a sombre end.

I liked that Mad World trailer better then this one.

good pickup! I didn't notice that. Makes the 'brothers to the end' thing make a little more sense! I am hyped for this game, can see myself sinking way too much time into the multi!

Gears has the best trailers hands down. Can't fucking wait for this game.

Pre-Beard Dom is in there too at the beginning.

I thought the Mad World one was stupid, The Gears 2 one was awesome and this was somewhere in the middle. But that's just me...

Great trailer, very nice song choice. Although i do think they are trying to coast off the mad world trailer that go so much buzz back in the day. But the trailer on its own is super sweet cant wait.
